✩ timeline: bouncy era

✩ summary: after a long day at work and busy schedules, she finds peace with the eldest member and his legos.

It’s 10:00 pm, and Bella has got done with recordings. Hongjoong insists she stays longer because when making new albums, her vocals are one of the key elements in their songs. The fans praise her efforts, and she appreciates them.

After saying goodbye and giving Hongjoong hugs and kisses, she orders dinner because she doubts the guys have eaten.

Once arriving at the restaurant, Bella thanked the employee before taking a bag of fried chicken and steamed rice. She enters her vehicle to start heading home. Bella has had her driver's license for a year now, and it has been a life changer because she gets more freedom to explore wherever she wants.

“I’m home!”

The maknae hollers while entering the apartment that she shares with Seonghwa, San, and Mingi. After the group moved out of the dorm where they stayed for years, it was a relief to get bigger, individual bedrooms.

San skips out of his room wearing his pajamas. “Food!” He shouts in English.

Bella puts the bags of food on the kitchen counter. “Are Hwa oppa and Mangi oppa home?” She asked San.

He replies, “Just Seonghwa. Mingi went out to see his friends. Also, Seonghwa is doing a YouTube Live.” San takes a bite of his food. Bella snickers, “Let me guess, he is building a Legos set.” She assumed about the oldest. Bella gets a nod from San while he devours more of the delicious chicken.

The maknae sometimes teases her eldest oppa about how he and his Legos are a match made in heaven. But she finds it adorable because Seonghwa is a big kid at heart. These days, the eldest of ATEEZ has been expressive about his hobbies, and he enjoys what he does in his free time.

Eventually, that meal filled up her empty stomach. Bella then takes a nice shower before inviting herself into Seonghwa’s space. She has on Minnie Mouse pajamas and a bare face. Her room has a girly aesthetic with a lot of baby pink, and very cute Sanrio items she collects. Once Bella gets done with her skincare, she knocks on the door.

“Yes~” Seonghwa replied sweetly.

“May I come in?” Bella asked in the same tone.

“Sure!” The man allows her inside.

She opens the door and enters what looks like a heavenly place to chill with a bunch of Lego figurines in a glass display with a silver chrome palette. Seonghwa has on his glasses and gray silk pajamas. He turns his head to greet Bella with a sunny smile. “How were the recordings?” He questioned. The youngest sits on his comfy bed. In the comments, Atinys begins to spam about their angel’s appearance. She waves at Seonghwa's phone.

“It was good. Joongie oppa didn’t want me to stay past midnight." Almost five years already, the captain will treat the youngest as his baby. The people are commenting on how sweet Hongjoong is to Bella. He truly cares about her.

Seonghwa laughs gleefully. “I’m glad that you got everything done and home safe.” He, too, was so exhausted from hectic schedules that he decided to have fun with his toys.

Eventually, the two spent their night together and built a spaceship. In the Lego Party, Seonghwa and Bella would talk about whatever came to mind and reply to questions from Atinys.

“Bells, does Hwa bring more Legos to your room?”

The young woman reads a fan's question off of Seonghwa’s phone. He chuckles while focusing on the wings of the ship. He hears Bella sigh. “Yes, he does. I just let him because I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to have him get the smallest room.” She has a blank expression. The maknae tries to act serious, but she is holding in her laughter.

Bella has been comfortable and brutally honest with her answers to questions. The people and the members are seeing a new light on her. Seonghwa looks up and says, “Hey, at least I got more space.”

The maknae shakes her head in discontent.

However, she smiles at Seonghwa. Bella can’t say no to the cutest oppa in the world.

timeline: during bouncy era

summary: ateez's maknae receives a "special" present.

For the first time in so long, Bella finally gets to be in her hometown and see her family again.

Unfortunately, she had to wait for this moment because the world was out of place, and she missed being in the same presence as her loved one. The members and Atinys acknowledged that Bella becomes a different person when she is not in Korea. In a good, happy way, to be exact.

The day the group is going to her hometown is on a concert day. It’s also Bella’s birthday.

Despite her oppas being sentimental and astounded about her no longer being the shy teenager, they are proud that she grew up so beautifully. Bella will forever be ATEEZ’s lovely angel.

Before the concert day, the guys prepared two cakes for Bella. One for eating and the other for smashing it onto her face. They are planning to surprise Bella towards the end. As a special gift for her family, she gave them free tickets to attend the show. They’ll be witnessing the chaotic moment.

When the time came, Bella used her energy, and the crowd was in awe. Her gorgeous voice echoed in the air, her dazzling smile had Atinys squealing, and the oppas kept giving her affection because today was all about her. She honestly knew it was her birthday because she saw the fans holding special banners. However, she knows nothing about her surprise. As the night went by, there was nothing but cheers and upbeat energy in the venue.

Later, the group is in casual clothes and doing their final talks with Atinys. Hongjoong has a playful smirk as he speaks. “Our amazing maknae is grown up now, and we got something for her.” He tells the audience. Bella reacts confused but instantly comprehends when she sees Yunho and Mingi coming from backstage with a cake on a rolling table.

It’s a super cute Cinnamoroll cake.

Everyone in the building starts singing the ‘Happy Birthday' song. Bella does a little dance while the cake comes in front of her. She reads the message in royal icing.

From Your Beloved Oppas

“Thank you so much! I love all of you!” Bella speaks into the microphone and does a finger heart.

She also notices there are no candles. Before she could question, Yunho and Mingi smeared icing on her cheeks. Then, in a split second, Wooyoung grabs the cake and smashes it onto her face. At once, the fans and the members are laughing their heads off because of their messy face maknae.

Seonghwa quickly wipes her eyes with his thumb. “Are you okay?” He asked through his giggling. The birthday girl nodded with a big smile. She blinks and turns her head at the evil Wooyoung laughing on the floor. Bella marches up to him. He sees her trying to look mad, but she doesn’t do it because he is lucky that she loves him.

Wooyoung stands up and tries to catch his breath. “Happy birthday bebe!” He yells through the microphone. Bella just accepts it and does a heart pose with her arms. Instantly, the guys brought her into a big group hug.

✩ summary: 2022 kcon was something for bella.

At first, she didn’t make a big deal of the setlist because it was a commitment to perform eight songs in front of hundreds of people. However, she starts to wonder if she’ll not make it through the entire stage because most of the songs are extreme and fast pace back to back.

During practice, Bella tries her best to maintain enough energy. The group will only have a minute to interact with the audience. In other words, there won’t be breaks in between performances. The guys and her call this the ‘Hell Setlist.’

“You good, baby?” Yunho asked the maknae. He gives her a hand because she is lying on the stage.

She was panting, sweating, and tired. But she doesn’t want to give up.

Bella accepts Yunho’s offer and stands back on her feet. “Yes. And I am telling the truth.” She points out. Bella is sometimes stubborn to admit things. It does worry the members if she is okay or not.

Yunho chuckles. “I didn’t ask if you were telling the truth. But are you positive that you can do this?” He gently holds her hand. The tall man can see her ponytail is out of place, and her eye bags are deep from the traveling and less sleep. Above all; she is still smiling and putting in the effort.

With a nod of reassurance, Bella says, “I am confident. I signed up for this, and I knew what to expect. And yes, I was hesitant before doing it.” She knows she has to break out of her stubbornness and be more open. Bella felt Yunho’s hand ruffling her head. “It’s okay to tell the truth. We all were unsure, but we do it for our fans.” He basically told the youngest there was nothing wrong with being afraid.

Hours later, the venue has people cheering for their favorite idols and enjoying the moment.

As soon as Wave begins to play, Bella is relieved to walk around, making sweet gestures to Atinys and dancing here and there. Her face was dripping with sweat, and her makeup might’ve rubbed off, but it didn’t matter. Also, San’s hair dye is coming off.

When singing her part, Wooyoung skips up to her to make a hand heart. She does the other half and smiles lovingly at the camera. Wooyoung pats her back to convey that she is doing a great job. In the middle of the performance, Hongjoong even asked one of the staff members to give her a bottle of water. He could tell through her singing that she couldn’t catch a breath.

The Real was their last song on the setlist, and Bella pretty much used the rest of her stamina that she had left. Even though she faced many challenges on and off stage, she kept going and never stopped.

✩ summary: bella and ateez meet for the very first time.

A petite and delicate seventeen-year-old trainee dressed in cozy clothing strides her legs to a place she calls her “Second Home.”

Every day, Bella would spend most of her afternoons and nights in the KQ Entertainment building. Plus, she does her schoolwork and studies in the practice room to manage time and her rest. At some point in life, Bella’s family was concerned about her choosing this pathway. Despite admitting the challenges to her loved ones and the hardships of becoming an idol, Bella kept going. She doesn’t know how long it’ll take or where she’ll end up, but she hopes for the best.

KQ Entertainment is a peculiar place, according to Bella. It originally was a marketing business that turned into a record label. They successfully accepted plentiful artists who have been in the industry for years. Not to mention, KQ recruited eight boys and created their first group. Now, they are rising stars.

ATEEZ has been getting the world’s attention like magic sparked into people’s lives.

Unfortunately, Bella wasn’t as close to the group. She had seen their faces and their stellar talent but never knew them personally. However, it’s all going to change. Two months after ATEEZ’s debut, the group will be welcoming someone.

Bella attended a meeting with KQ’s big boss and had a long discussion that would impact the company and the K-pop industry. The boss allowed her to debut with ATEEZ. Of course, Bella was baffled for a lot of reasons. In other words, she wasn’t sure if it was safe. Having only one girl is going to raise eyebrows for many. However, to Bella’s surprise, from what the boss told her, all eight agreed to have her be part of ATEEZ.

So, today, she’ll be seeing the guys.

Once she says hello and bowing to the workers, Bella can feel her nerves running wild. Before arriving, the teenager keeps questioning if they will like her or think she is awkward and strange. Bella has to eventually develop communication skills because it’s a tough world to survive. The girl enters the elevator to take deep breaths and relax.

Good thing she is a formal person. It’s not that Bella finds herself to be dull. She was raised in a household with manners and being immaculate. Most importantly, she doesn’t want to make a fool of herself.

As Bella exits the elevator, she heads to the practice room. “Hm. Maybe I’m too early.” The girl figured because she noticed the darkness from the outside. Her hand grabs the knob to open the door. She switched on the lights to have the room bright as day. Instantly, eight handsome, cute, and beautifully bared-faced guys in warm outfits yell at the top of their lungs.

“WELCOME TO ATEEZ BELLA!”

Lost for words, the girl has her eyes widened owlishly and mouth gaping. The guys couldn’t contain their laughter at her adorably shocked reaction. Bella can see they all have party hats on, decorations layered in the room, and a snack table with a delicious cake.

“Hyung, I think we broke her,” Wooyoung whispered to Hongjoong.

“Ouch!”

The captain smacks the boy, who is pouting like a hurt child.

Hongjoong clears his throat and goes up to Bella. “Sorry that we scared you. We didn’t know a better way to make a surprise.” He apologizes so politely. Bella shakes her head. “N-No! You didn’t! I thought it was going to be simple and formal.” Her expectations are the complete opposite.

The guys glanced at each other and started chuckling. It takes them back to when everyone got together, one by one. Most of them had friendly attitudes, but they soon learned they weren’t normal. In a good way, to not be mistaken.

San comes forward with a big, bright smile and wraps an arm around her shoulders. “We thought it would be too lame to do the typical greetings. So, why not throw a party? Also, it’s okay to drop the formalities because we’re family here.” The young man with cute, deep dimples tries to convince Bella that she doesn’t need to shy away from her true colors.

Bella looks at their sweet smiles. The atmosphere has become fuzzy and warm. She is also feeling a bit emotional. Bella breathed, “Okay, I’ll try to be myself.” She said. All of them cheered. Soon enough, she and the guys form a circle on the floor to talk about themselves, like an ice-breaker.

“So, what is your position in ATEEZ, Bella?” Yeosang asked the girl.

Not just him, but the rest are curious to know. Bella responded, “Our boss put me as lead vocalist and maknae. I’ve been singing since I was very little and I am thankful that my appa introduced me to K-pop.” She tells them a piece of her background.

“Ooo~ vocal buddies~” Wooyoung playfully nudges Jongho. The now second youngest shyly smiles. Bella and the others laugh at him merrily.

“Wait, maknae? How old are you?” San was so straightforward that it kind of surprised the members. Though Bella didn’t mind answering. “I’m 17.”

At once, they gasped at their new maknae. She is a baby! Their baby!

When getting done with the introductions, Bella can see that everyone has a unique personality. But overall, they are super kind and caring. She witnessed them helping each other give out food because she and all of them were starving. Bella predicts she’ll have the time of her life in ATEEZ.

“Oh! Bella, look what we got for you!” Yunho exclaimed happily.

He and Mingi pulled her arms to drag her to the snack table. They showed her a cutely baked cake of My Melody. “For me?” Bella questions the two.

Mingi nods earnestly. “Yep! We actually made it, and if it’s not good, then it’s okay to get upset.” He is so blunt that Bella starts laughing. Her laugh is so mellifluous that the guys thought an angel from heaven graced their ears.

She shakes her head. “I’m sure it’s tasty! Thank you so much!” The new member of ATEEZ sincerely appreciates the whole lovely celebration.

these two seriously radiate the mama and daughter relationship. even though it may be a silly joke about how seonghwa is portrayed as the “mama” of the group, he truly does play that role. he is so kindhearted and gentle that he always tends to shower bella with so much love and care. he brings comfort to everyone and protects them. with his precious bambi, he praises bella for anything she does to contribute to the group, reminding his angel that she is perfectly enough. not to mention, she is his favorite child.

HONGJOONG ⋆ HONGHEE

VERY overprotective. hongjoong will make sure bella is safe even if they are miles apart. however, he does know that she can take care of herself. atinys does find it cute how he is the biggest oppa to bella. additionally, she would ask him for advice and give her some inspiration. bella admires hongjoong as the hero of her life.

YUNHO ⋆ YUNYOUNG

as the lovable giant puppy of ateez, yunho is the sweetest and most playful to bella. he knows how to make her smile and laugh with his dorky behavior. plus, yunho influences bella to let loose and go along with the chaos because she was a shy girl during their early idol days. there are times it’s good and there are times it’s bad. the good, bella is secretly a comedian with so much wit that she can make the members laugh hysterically. the bad is she would become a crazy yet cute bambi. so, in conclusion, yunho can bring out a new side of bella.

YEOSANG ⋆ YEOLA

soft like really THE softest duo ever! they share a lot of similarities. from having perfect visuals to being the cutest cinnamon rolls in the world. it’s almost like they are the same person. but underneath their sweet, innocent, and pure persona, there is a wicked side to them. although the biggest difference between yeosang and bella is one is more clueless than the other. *ahem* yeosang.

SAN ⋆ SANBELL

he loves and i mean LOVES her so much. when their big boss announced they were welcoming a brand new member, san instantly accepted bella. yeah, it did occur to him that it was an odd idea for a girl to be in a group filled with eight guys, but it didn't matter. san is one of the kindest human beings out there and he is bella’s certified hypeman because she is perfect in his eyes. everyone needs a choi san in their lives.

MINGI ⋆ BELLGI

when they first met, mingi expected bella to quickly be intimidated or afraid of him because of his cold-looking outer appearance. well, that is 100% incorrect. bella approached mingi with the most cordial attitude. she became his bestie who was willing to hold his hand if he got scared or upset, bring him joy, and protect him. mingi does find it adorable yet amazing how someone tinier than him is very strong. he appreciates bella with his whole heart 24/7.

WOOYOUNG ⋆ 2YOUNG

a sunshine protector and a sunshine. the fandom goes wild for these two. wooyoung is the best boy and the best moodmaker. he is also like a bodyguard to bella. wooyoung will fight back if anyone talks down on her or looks at her the wrong way. most importantly, there is never a dull moment in bella’s life when wooyoung is around.

JONGHO ⋆ JONGLA

last but not least, the maknaes of ateez. the level of maturity from the 2000s line is hilarious. they often get mistaken as the “adults” of the group and the members can see it. also let me tell you about their vocals. it is HEAVENLY. along with san, they deliver like angels lighting up the gloomy sky. despite not liking affection or skinship as much, jongho will go soft for bella. her adorable self fills his heart with happiness.
