"I don't want the Joker Out queue drama when ppl insisted being there overnight" I have... terrible news - as far as I am aware, the first overnight queue was for Käärijä (the Apollo gig in Finland last year) where five or six people showed up the night before and queued for over 24h in the snow. At least to my knowledge this was before the properly unhinged JO queues (though maybe it coincided with Prague, I am a little shaky on the exact timelines)

There's been the overnight queueing madness in many many fandoms of course and this is nothing new. I remember people camping three days to see Nightwish at Hartwall Arena back in the days, and I've myself queued overnight to get movie premiere tickets to the first Hobbit movie ✌️

I just remember there was this drama during JO's European tour last year, when there were two different groups in front of the venue the night before and two different queue number systems, and then Bojan himself posted about people needing to go home because neither the band or the venue can take responsibility of their safety, and the fans got MAD at HIM, and it was a mess

it's not just JO of course, I know people in Blind Channel fandom who queued in -20 degrees and their medication froze and the venue personnel almost had to call an ambulance, and then there are always girls who stay up all day without eating or drinking, and then they get the precious place in the front row - and then they faint three songs in and are carried away

this maybe my 'old man yelling at a cloud' moment, but I'm just hoping that people regardless of fandom would be sensible and moreover, respect rules of the venue. if they are kind enough to give us guidelines for queuing and actual queueing number for once (which should be always the case, but one can only hope), in return we should respect those guidelines and not be like whatever I'm gonna do it anyway lol 🤪

#once again this is a problem in multiple fandoms #the Kä one has been very chill and fair so far and I hope it stays that way #my problem isn't with queueing #but ffs don't be disrespectful against the staff and especially don't bully the artist when they express concern about your heath & safety #asks
