I'm too old for this but here I am. My faves are Ted Lasso, Schitt's Creek and Derry Girls. A new fan of Bridgerton brought in because i adore Nicola Coughlin. An old fan of Captain Swan, Veronica Mars, Being Erica and the Toronto Blue Jays (naturally). I have no focus but that seems to be my lot in life.
I keep thinking how different the Bridgerton fandom will be in 24 hours. Like, there is gonna be full-on CHAOS. Some good, some bad. I'm the type of person who will need to watch the show more than once and sit with it to really process everything. If I read a lot of negativity, I'll become negative. If I'm reading the hype and joy, I'll feel that way too. I'm obviously easily manipulated, haha!
So for all my fellow Polin fans, enjoy this! We made it!! See you on the flip side!
I almost feel sorry for the Bridgerton actors coming after Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlin's season. I'm sure they'll do great, but these two seem to love their characters and seem to really like each other. Their friendship has been one of the best parts to watch.
There has never been anything like Bridgerton season 3. Leaked videos, documents, leaked spoilers from trashy news, YEARS of waiting, it has been the wildest ride!
There are days I can't wait for May 16th and then days where I have myself convinced to wait for June. The hate that exists for two fictional characters has been outrageous, but in the same breath, the absolute adoration that this couple produces is also a feat to be admired. My hats off to Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton, the best people to pull off this beloved couple.
Sigh... oh well. I didn't have fuck-boi Colin on my Bridgerton BINGO card but c'est la vie.
I know in June, I'll be happy that it's all over. I wish I was in TV, I'd produce historical dramas and strike while the iron is hot. Perhaps a more romantic series to produce would be the Bedwyn series. Right out of the gate, Slightly Married is the perfect romantic drama to start with (no other women or men, no brothels, no triangles). It's the opposite of Bridgerton, quieter, sweeter, and yet, there is still drama. And a family united.
This show is insane. So good, so heartbreaking, so unflinchingly honest. Nicola Coughlin is in a league on her own. She's better than good in this. I don't think I'll forget this show in a long time.
One more thing. I don't trust Nicola Coughlin and her PR talk. She talked about how hilarious this show was. It is not. Heartbreaking is more like it, with moments of funny. So when she says romantic for Bridgerton season 3, there goes my hopes cuz girl has a skewed view. I don't know how Bridgerton season 3 will turn out but I'm no longer listening to Nicola. She lies!! (I'm kidding, but I'm also not...)
