Round 2 has ended with no big surprises in the results… though the mission cleopatra poll getting 900+ votes WAS a surprise. In honor of the Poles who rallied so hard for it last round, I’ll be replacing the English title of the movie with the Polish one in the poll itself alongside the French name.
In other news, Asterix & Cleopatra is the only comic that still has both the comic and its movie adaptation in the tournament - it actually has BOTH of its adaptations still in the tournament! Let's see if that continues after Round 3. I’ve also changed up how I’m representing the bracket, hope it’s a bit more legible now!

Bizu bingo? \o/
BIZU BIZU BIZU!! I love him so much he is so so so dear to me. I don’t think he’s a beast though so I couldn’t circle that for a bingo and he doesn’t deserve bullying so no bingo there either but I love his design I love the aesthetic he’s so silly and I have so many headcanons for him and the other characters (mostly to merge the 3 canons lol).
“Canon isn’t real” primarily because of the erasure of the Keryna arc & the Postman & the inconsistencies. Everyone else is wrong because they don’t care about him enough. People sleep on Bizu he deserves more. I almost put proxy blorbo bc he is still your blorbo in my mind but let’s be real if I didn’t put Blutch in proxy blorbo I can’t put Bizu in proxy.

Tintin for the character bingo :)
I don't talk about Tintin much online but I DO like him! My family joked that I was like Tintin & my dad was like Haddock so I definitely project on him a lot. This fact combined with much of the fandom may also give you insight as to why I don't talk about him much. I care about him, but also I do want to see him in situations. Don't really want to personally put him in them, he deals with a lot as is, but I like to see him struggle.
Almost said 'everyone else is wrong about them' but honestly there are a lot of ppl who have very similar headcanons to me. 'They sure do exist' mostly circled because I don't have as strong opinions as I used to and don't think about him all too often anymore.

OK character bingo : Jolly Jumper. And also Gaston
Jolly Jumper (yellow) I have no strong opinions on. He’s just kinda there, but he is a well designed horse I’ll give him that.
Gaston (green) I love him so much, he’s a silly guy he just wants to have fun. An anti work king who is bullied too much, I want to protect him. Despite that, I have friends who are much more into him so he gets the proxy blorbo circle anyway. May be weird to say I fuck with his aesthetic considering I’m mostly known for looking like Carmen Sandiego irl but I literally have an outfit like his that I wear from time to time as like stealth cosplay lol. I even tuck my long hair into the turtleneck so it looks shorter haha.

He really IS the no. 1 guy of all time I have so many thoughts about him all the time always. He has it so hard I want to extend him a hand in help but he’d reject it cause he doesn’t think he deserves it. Almost circled friend’s favorite cause he is many of my friends favorite but he is also my favorite he’s no proxy blorbo he’s my blorbo for real. He’s silly, he’s a bastard, he has so much trauma, I will and have cried over him.

"Everyone else is wrong about them" more so because I see too many ppl going for Lucky Luke and like - we need more Dalton wifers in this world. Does Joe Dalton deserve it? No, but I need it. Okay? The only other Dalton wifer blocked me for my old self shipping jokes which she found & took seriously and it breaks my heart because she was the only other person out here with good takes about Joe Dalton. He's a bastard. He's a silly little guy. I want to drop an anvil on Lucky Luke's head with him. We are both normal.

I’ve been wanting to do an Asterix tournament for a while but I’m not sure if it’s something people are interested in. I think a character contest would be incredibly biased if any posts “breached containment” as it were so I don’t want to do one of those. What I have in mind would be a 64 entry tournament which includes all comics, movies, some picture books, and some Idéfix spin-offs. You can see the list I’m planning on using here (x)
I am open to suggestions on changing out some of the spin-offs, but I’m hesitant to add video games or radio dramas as there would be waaaaaay too many entrants at that point. Anyway, my main point, is this something you’d want to see? And if so- how would you like it seeded?
