At the Shophouse

For twenty years, Bakmi Itik Runi had been a staple of Paterosari's cuisine. The recipe belonged to Soo Liem Wong (1900-1976) and Meijuan Wong (1907-1990), while the land belonged to Agustian Gouw (1913-1987) and Sukmini Gouw (1917-1991). When their grandchildren married, the clan survived through hard times together.

Oliver Cahyadi started the business with his late wife Runi back in 1992, but she sadly died of breast cancer in 2004, leaving him to run the business. Though he's not alone in the running of it, he does get pretty tired sometimes.

With Runi they had two sons; Ferdi is a chef and a bit of a player who works at the big hotel, while Mario is an aspiring high school student who dreams of becoming an astronomer.

His father-in-law, Ahong Tan, helps with the finances as he's a retired accountant. For the most part, he watches Indosiar fantasy soaps, though.

Oliver's aunt Adel Gouw helps Oliver in running the business. For years, she had taken care of her parents, and now she's taking care of her late sister's family. As an avid churchgoer and the only woman in the house, Adel makes it her duty to keep the men in line.

They are not alone, though. Budi Tan, Runi's youngest brother, helps in the kitchen, and Mexiko Sunarto, the son of the duck farmer that supplies the restaurant with their duck meat, helps as a server.

They also have a boarder, Kenta Kurata, a Japanese national who moved to the countryside to teach Japanese at the local Christian high school and learn the ways of the Kuningan people. He fits in well with the Chinese-Indonesian household, but there's bound to be some cultural differences that would arise.

Beck’s dolphin replaced with TS4 model

You may remember I once replaced Beck's shark in @velcositro's Call a dolphin/shark mod.

Today I share with my a replacement of late Beck's dolphin with TS4 model.

When your Sim calls a dolphin (you need @velcositro's mod for that), a dolphin will arrive. It can be either blue or grey. :)

I also adden an option to pet the dolphin. Be warned, it doesn't work the best - Sims sometimes will display animation away from the dolphin, so it looks a bit strange. Still, I think it's cute. And it gives your Sims small social and fun boost.

part 1 of some requests from ghoularcade at the wishing tree... and some extras!! i realise it's only april, but have @nolan-sims' warlock wears, madame mystique, and borrower's outfit, taken from various simblreen treats of theirs, converted from ts4 to ts2! 3 spring treats just for you 🤍

they're all largely medium-poly and for at least 2 ages, with all appropriate morphs. not all of them turned out exactly as i was hoping for them to, but i'm so relieved that they're done. stay tuned for more... soon, i hope? there's more stuff and details under the cut!

@emperorofthedark and @angelapleasant's angler mermaids inspired me to be too creative with Bodyshop and made this anglerfish mermaid. The nose forms the snout of the mouth and I must say it works well with the teeth!

This is my response to this post by @goatskickin . FYI I'm using old version of PS.

Using Desaturate or Hue/Saturation to decrease texture saturation is not the best way to do it.

It might look OK sometimes BUT you'll get better results if you copy the layer, desaturate it and THEN set blend mode to Color. Adjust Opacity as needed.

When doing color actions on hair textures (or anything else) - if Hue/Saturation adjustment layer step does -83 Saturation (for example), instead you can do what I described above and set grey layer Opacity to 83%. Of course you also need to set clipping mask before you merge the two layers.

Also, use SimPE to build textures as DXT5, do not rely on Bodyshop 'cuz it will always f*ck it up.

PINEAPPLE5050 POST PROCESSING MOD + SNOW FIX

This was done as a Wishing Tree request on GOS, but ended up using it myself since I now have a new desktop that can handle this mod. This is a combination of Pines’ Postprocessing Mod and all the components of my No Blue Snow mod.

Unfortunately this only comes with Voeille’s Water Overhaul (like in Pines’ original version) + Niol’s Roof Shaders so you’re basically stuck with it.

There are three components to this mod: the shader fixes (required), the post-processing textures and effects (two versions: one with DoF and one without. choose only one), and the userStartup.cheat entries.

To activate the postprocessing (assuming the startup cheat entries are set up), simply type e on the console. then to disable, type e-. More info on how to configure this mod can be found in Pines’ original README included.

A set for TF-AF-EF based on tf-af-efbodydressabovekneesuit and these LiliLiliLili recolors. This download is composed of parts that can be used separately or alongside each other:

• default replacements meshes for TF & AF • unhiders (the Maxis recolors are hidden from CAS by default) • completers (AF & EF are missing recolors that TF has) • LiliLiliLili's recolors for TF-AF-EF

1. Default replacement meshes

I did not touch EF, only TF and AF. Polycount is unchanged at 2,146.

The original TF mesh looked like they just downsized the AF mesh without making further adjustments to match the TF proportions seen on the TF naked mesh and other outfits. This must have been one of the first outfits they made back in the day so the inconsistency isn't too surprising.

On TF I also made the shoes less pointy, more rounded.

2. Maxis unhiders & completers

Picture says everything (and is included in the archive), but in a few words ~

For some reason, Maxis decided that TF would have this outfit in all three colors, AF & EF would only have the blue one, and all recolors would be hidden in CAS. Yes, I do blame Maxis for the complexity of this download. Therefore, in the folder called "Maxis unhiders & completers" you'll find files that un-hide the existing recolors in CAS, and files that give the missing green and pink recolors to AF & EF (choose either standalone or repo'd to TF). I categorized all of them as everyday & formal.

Be aware that for some reason they won't show up neatly together in CAS. The blue recolors will be at the very end of the catalog while the other two will be further up.

I hate it too, I could not fix it, let me know if you know how.

3. LiliLiliLili recolors

Categorized as everyday & outerwear. All three ages get the same recolors, TF & EF can be either standalone or repo'd to AF.

Textures by LiliLiliLili. The AF files in the archive are theirs, I'm including them for convenience, hopefully that's ok. I edited the file names to match the numbered swatch.

Going into this I fully expected to have to remake the LiliLiliLili recolors on a fresh mesh to avoid a conflict for people using a different default replacement for ufbodydressabovekneesuit. But somehow it doesn't seem to conflict. Like I tried having the LiliLiliLili recolors in my downloads folder at the same time as these defaults, and then these, and it caused no issue: the BG outfits were getting replaced as intended and the LiliLiliLili outfits showed up fine. Even more confusing, everything was still fine when I added my mesh default replacements into the mix. Somehow the game knew to use my default replacement meshes for the LiliLiliLili outfits and the other default replacement meshes for the BG outfits. I tried changing the load order and still no issue 🤔 So I mean that's great. But if I messed up my testing and you're experiencing a mesh conflict, please let me know.

Since Monkfish Bay is based on Maine, I thought the cast of The Whales of August would be a perfect fit for my game. Here's Bette Davis, Lillian Gish, Ann Sothern, and Vincent Price. I'm having trouble finding a fat EF/Momma Lisa mesh for Ann Sothern's character. Anyone know any good outfits for a plus-sized EF?
