Is there like an evil team lurking around in this Pokémon earthbound au? All Pokémon games have evil teams in it.

So I was going to pick up the slack and finally make the Porky trainer sprite, but then I tried like 50 times and I couldn’t actually make it work out. So here’s an explanation of what’s going on with the evil team instead. I promise I’ll make a Porky sprite… eventually.

Basically there isn’t one Big Evil Team with a Big Evil Plan until… I’d say about right about now blog story wise. The closest thing to an ‘evil’ team before was Pokey Minch’s gang of misfits, who he “affectionately” calls Team Pork. They basically run around doing petty crimes and try stealing people’s pokemon, but they aren’t really too good at their job. He’s mostly motivated by spite, because even though him and Ness started their journeys at the same time Pokey couldn’t actually even beat the 8th gym leader, and now Ness is a member of the elite four and doesn’t even really visit Onett too often.

The Big Evil Team that’s currently rising is… interesting. And related to some of the more recent asks. But just in case this thing does actually go into story mode, I don’t want to talk about too much that isn’t just backstory.

Oh, there’s also the BB Gang and the Sharks. The BB Gang is more a team of bully bullies than bullies themselves, and they’re still run by Teddy. The Sharks just kinda chill around Onett and Twoson, they don’t really do much other than loiter.

Hiye! Typically a Pokemon universe usually has eight gym leaders. You have revealed two (or three idk?) of them. Which character leads what type of gym by the way?

Hiya! So I haven’t actually completed the sprites for some of them, and others I want to redo or remake completely, but here are the ones I have completed along with some info on them! (Under a cut to save you all the scrolling).

Ninten is the normal type gym leader, and his gym is located in Podunk. I’m tempted to redo his sprite. His gym doubles as the towns Pokemon Center!

I haven’t done Ana yet but she’s the electric type gym leader and her gym is in Snowman.

Lloyd is the water type gym leader! Specifically because of the sheer amount of gun/tank themed water type Pokemon. His gym is in Merrysville.

Teddy is the rock type gym leader, and his gym is in Ellay. It also doubles as a night club. Also wanna redo his sprite, but w/e.

Lucas and Claus run a double battle style gym in Tazmily with no real focus on any specific type.

Kumatora runs a Fairy type gym in Fourside.

I don’t have any sprites made for Duster or Boney*, but Duster runs a Dark type gym in Threed and Boney runs a ???? (I haven’t actually decided yet, leaning towards Dragon or Ground) type gym in Onett.Because Kumatora doesn’t actually have a town of origin, and both Duster and Boney also hail from Tazmily, I just threw some towns onto them just so they had a home. If anyone thinks something should be different, don’t be afraid to yell at me abt it. Also please give me advice for Boney I’m dying here.

*Too lazy to find a replacement person and would rather have Claus be a team with Lucas, and I have other plans for Porky. So I’m just gonna make a kid based off of Boney’s human disguise and call it a day.

So.. does anyone know who the champion is..?

We’ve only been elite four members for about two years, but we used to talk with the champion all the time.

She started staying all by herself about a year and a half ago, though. Almost no one sees her. Oddly enough, that was about the time when a kid challenged us and just swept all four of our teams.

We haven’t seen him since then, and to be honest, I think that’s for the best.

What was it like to set out on your pokemon adventure, Jeff? Was your dad ok with you leaving to do this?

Da- Dr. Andonuts is one of the most famous Pokemon researchers in the world. He researches electric types, mostly. I used to work in his lab! It was awesome! But I never really saw him.

So in the middle of the night I took a Tynamo and hopped on a plane. He didn’t notice that either me or the Pokemon were missing.

I guess he knows I left now, though. But it’s fine. I’m having more fun doing research with my friends, anyway.

If I tried to fight her Camerupt with my Ferrothorn, I would lose before the battle even started. So we use our personal teams whenever we battle.
