i spoil you all with happy thoughts too much so here’s an angsty one: (believe me spoilers!!)

aaron says they were all essentially certain ella wouldn’t survive the plane ride home from oceania. meaning the entire time she was rambling about it being impractical to get married with a broken leg and oozing blood everywhere, aaron thought this conversation would be their last. and he’s torn between calming her down, listening to her rambled hysteria or pouring his heart and soul into a proper goodbye in case the love of his life dies in his arms any moment. ella’s already terrified at the state of her body, so aaron holds back his sobs to prevent her from panicking even more, but it’s so hard because inside he’s just screaming.
