This is probably an incredibly hot take because I know it's beloved, but my personal choice would be 999, ZTD, VLR because I didn't like Virtue's Last Reward very much when I first played it. It's grown on me since then, but not enough to knock Zero Time Dilemma out of second place.
#it's alwayysss 999 on top but for the second two . idk#i have issues with both vlr and ztd#but when they're weighed i think i had a worse time playing vlr for the first time#it's just too fucking long#story's worth it though#i had more fun with the ztd cast i guess#999 ztd vlr#but that doesnt mean vlr is bad!!
