I am currently travelling to another city at 120 km/h. I'm sitting in a comfortable padded seat, typing on my phone, not concerning myself with driving, knowing I'll get there in time and safely, and much more cheaply than if I'd driven there.
I am currently sitting on a train.
When I get to my destination, I'll take a tram and travel another five km in less than ten minutes, to the heart of the city itself. I won't have to pay for parking.
Services in my region could be better, but they're there, cheap and fast and efficient.
I fucking love public transit.
