Now that Billie starts as #1 in the US and UK charts, she's officially the most talented 17-y.o. in the world. Congrats to the queen!

Now and then I hear something like that Coldplay is nothing but Radiohead powdered with lots of pop. And I don’t get it even in regards that I’ve listened to both bands quite comprehensively. Their emotional picture is totally different. How can one even compare them? That’s two experiences with no overlaps, so... why even compare at all? Peculiar.

It’s been a while...
I feel bad about turning my tumblr page into some dump of weening about politics, but I came here to mark one thing. I’ve been wаtching a vlog of one russian guy who visited North Korea as a tourist. And he said it had felt like visiting Soviet Union of 1950-1960s. Most of what he said was very critical to North Korea, and I felt for it: 10 hours long working day, 1 day off per 10 days, low wages, lots of idiocratic propaganda, absence of the Internet, tons of forbids and total sense of despair and apathy. I sympathize with those poor people and I sеe no point for them to live in the name of Juche and раrty’s Great Leaders but not in the name of themselves. It’s a kind of slavery which is even more obvious than in Russia. Maybe that’s why I feel for them. Socialism is just a torture that allegedly does good but in reality it’s just a plague. The only thing this plague can do is just spreading. North Korea tries to spread, Russia does - that’s why they allocate a lot into army and propaganda. Please, never trust those governments. Socialism is no more than a toxic tapeworm and needs to die completely. I hope the worldwide society’s progress will kill these parasites and free their citizens. God bless us.

Guys, right now I was reading about political and economical news in my country (R**sia) and I feel almost desperate and helpless. The government pushes on its citizens in every case that it can, and the whole situation is against simple people. This post is not a romantic whispering, but a cry of fear. I’m really scared to live here, each year the paradigm worsens. It’s either you get stupified and accept this reign (that has no respect to you; you’re just a source of money for the system) or you resist, get arrested, put under pressure and, possibly, get imprisoned for just having another opinion. Even right now I doubt if in a few years I will be inside a police room because of honest messages like this. It is a shame for me to be born, to be living in such a land, where only the strong and rich are mighty, where thieves have the ultimate power and where me or my family or my friends, in fact, have no rights.

Sometimes this old, "barocco" version of P! atD seems a little lost in years, lost in translation. The first time I found and enjoyed the band, they had this very style (or at least, it appeared to me like so). Despite this fleeting thought, I'm sure that Brendon Urie himself, all the other past members themselves - they all still hold this barocco-ness somehow in their characters, lyrics, messages, whatever they look like and sound like. That makes my day.

Pray for Brandon
You know, I adore Panic! at the Disco as much as it’s possible. But I don’t listen to ‘em everyday, only for some short periods of time. And the last few times that it happened, it was related to the brand new album by the band. Every time like this they (now it’s simply “he”, Brandon Urie) bring me feelings of something bright, extraordinary, and a new record can become a legend for me in several minutes. This time with “Pray For The Wicked” it occured again, and I must say that these feelings are here anew. What’s the secret of such magic, that 8 songs out of 11 seemed brilliant to me? Especially “Dancing’s Not A Crime” and “Dying in LA” inspired me to move (to shake the shoulders: i was in the train at that moment...) just on the spot. Probably no one ever will read this, so at least I’m gonna make a note for myself from this time to the future: I’m here, I listened to this album not far ago and I’m happy to have such music in this timescale. Smashing :)

“I’m alive to both pain and joy now. I have my old laugh back, as my mom says. The one that takes over my body and sends me out of myself for a few seconds. And only a couple years ago, I had hoped I’d die.” - Hayley Williams for Paper Magazine
