chainsxwsmile:
“Aye, a bath’ll certainly help,” the Troll said with an exhausted smile. “M’ kind’s pretty resilient ‘gainst infections, but I reckon it’s best to not jinx it.” Bruce turned, letting his nose guide him to the closest body of water in hopes of a creek or river. Moving water was always much more promising than lentic, stagnant bodies.
“And it’s no problem ‘bout the dogs. I’m sure ye’d’ve done the same for me,” Bruce added; a surety augmented by Jaskier’s nonhuman status. In all honesty, the Troll wouldn’t have expected such reciprocity from a human. Not following a lifetime of decidedly unsavory encounters with mankind. Humans had a tendency, after all, to exterminate whatever they felt threatened them; and would have perhaps lumped Bruce together with the barghests, and left him to his own demise.
Tumblr media
“Now that we aren’t runnin’ for our lives–” the Troll continued, eager to break any silence and distract himself from the formerly harrowing near-death experience. “–what brings you ‘round these parts? Unless ye live ‘round this area?”
"You're lucky I showed up at the right time. I can help you with your wounds in no time! I'm not a doctor, but I learned tricks from a witch friend. Besides, I studied a little about medicine in my college days." Jaskier now more relieved that the imminent danger was gone. His more spontaneous and talkative way had returned with everything. And after Bruce protected him even seeing what he really was, the bard felt he could trust the Troll more.
"I don't know... it depends on the person. But I know that there are people who would help you without hesitation. Especially a friend of mine." He smiled sadly at the memory of Geralt. However, he decided to focus on the other's question so as not to delve into his own sadness.
Tumblr media
"Well answering your question... I'm a bard as you can see. My life is to walk the road looking for a tavern or a nearest town to sing my songs. I was on my way when your magnificent presence came my way. And well the rest is history." He gave an amused smile trying to keep pace with his new companion.
"But what about you? You live around here, I presume?"

moonlit-hunter:
She blinked again, seemingly deep in thought. After a long moment, she shrugged and continued to walk, stranger still in hand.
"It is dangerous here." She warned. "Better to make sure you're somewhere safe.... although... I suppose I have certain countermeasures in case trouble approaches."
She carefully set Jaskier onto the ground and pulled a couple sticks of incense from her coat pocket. She lit the incense and waved it around a bit, trying to spread the strong scent.
"There..." She murmured, offering the sticks to the newcomer. "Hold these for now. It will keep the beasts away until we get somewhere safer."
Jaskier looked at her curiously. Other than his request being ignored at first, but the kind way to carry him to a certain extent. Kindness, compassion, caring. Such feelings were in short supply in such a place that they were trapped for the moment. Even when he was in that hellish place. He no longer received such sentiments so often. That it became normal for him to be invisible to others. Yet being invisible ended up helping him survive in the end.
"Oh! Thank you." He sighed a little more relieved to be placed on the floor. It was hard for him to deal with the kindness of others. "Hmm... this is very useful! I wish I had this when I got here... It would have saved me from terrible situations. Speaking of such situations... Do you remember how you got here?"

champion-fem-hawke:
A light-hearted laugh escaped the Champion, draping her arms over Jaskier’s shoulders as she gazed into those gorgeous eyes of his. There was a mischievous glimmer in her ocean blue orbs, lifting a hand to play with the bard’s hair with her fingers. She nearly surprised herself with how bold she was being, but she was aptly caught up in the moment that her next words slipped out without a second thought.
“Then perhaps I could…tempt you some more?” she purred, her lips just ghosting over his. “We don’t necessarily need mistletoe… If you prefer, we could move somewhere more comfortable.”
"I...You..." He gulped, taken aback again at hearing such an invitation from her. The way she looked at him, the way she touched his face. It made the bard mesmerized by any action and gesture she made towards him. Jaskier was still a little apprehensive about whether he should go further.. Allowing his hands to rest shyly on the champion's waist.
"I mean of course... If that's what you want... How can I refuse such an invitation?" His voice is almost like a whisper. It's over. He was completely head over heels for Marian. He would do absolutely anything she asked him to do. No regrets. If in return he could just touch her.

@heirstothedragon asked: sender kisses receiver's cheek.
Tumblr media
The bard was taken aback by the sudden kiss on his cheek from the beautiful lady. Despite Jaskier being quite flirtatious and more extroverted. He actually was usually a little shy when he was the target of some kind of flirtation.
Tumblr media
"Oh... how bold my dear lady... I didn't expect such a gesture... any reason for such my dear?" He asked uncertainly, to the princess. He didn't know if it was a habit, a flirtation or just a sign of friendship. He preferred to hear her thoughts before jumping to conclusions.

People like Jaskier is little weak meow meow while in the show Jaskier saw the scariest man in the world and decided to be his bestie even if he didn't want it and then when Geralt found a genie the one of Jaskier's desires was TO KILL Valdo. And of course how can I forget Jaskier who ate something strange in a lab in Kaer Morhen without caring that it might be posions. Please, this guy has no fear, no self-preservation instinct. He is a mad angry man and I love him for that

shireentheunburnt:
Shireen looked at her stag, sadly thoughtful. “I think… there are some things where death might be easier to come back from.” She gazed up at him, “My father was always worried about being a page in someone else’s history book, but it never mattered if someone else became a footnote in his, and now… he is gone. His reputation is beyond salvage, and I would not wish nor ask anyone to try to repair it.”
Kinslaying and child-killing were not crimes that could, nor should, be erased as part of one’s nature when remembering someone. Stannis had chosen that path for himself and it should not be glossed over or dressed up any differently simply because he had been executed for them.
“I had heard tell,” the girl managed a smile at the man’s tone, hearing the implication in it that he was speaking of someone he cared for, “that you were a very talented bard with a good heart. The things my father has done has destroyed not only his own honour, but the good name of my family and House as a whole as well; and now I must… somehow repair it so that the people I am responsible for can be safe and happy in the long-term. I would not ask for you to rewrite the past, but I… I would ask your aid in beginning to build the future if you would be open to it? I would make sure that you were well paid for your services, and given anything you might need to be content yourself.”
The bard was silent the entire time listening to the young lady's story. Paying attention to every detail of the little story she wanted to share with him. There was sadness in what he heard. But also the hope and courage of someone who wanted to change the past. Write a new future for herself and the name she carried.
"Good heart... is a strong word. I'm not perfect but I tried to do what I thought was right. I made a lot of mistakes along the way, but I learned from my mistakes. I think that's why I decided to be a bard. I abandoned my nobility to just... live. Instead of being cooped up in a mansion and following absurd protocols on how I should behave." He paused a little, thinking carefully about the other's proposal.
"My price is expensive. Not only in coins. I am an artist, a teacher, a poet. I need inspiration. If I accept such a proposal... You will have to promise me to show you about your life. Your family, your House. Your people. After I see your world with my own eyes... then I will decide whether I take the job or not. Can you take that, my lady?"

champion-fem-hawke:
The Champion wasn’t sure how the bard would respond, hence the reason she held back. She could have easily crossed the boundaries of their current friendship, but something in her hesitated, second guessing if she should have went through with it in the first place.
There was a brief moment of dread, feeling her stomach drop. However, when she felt his touch on her neck, a shiver ran down her spine and she felt herself leaning in. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to get lost in the moment of ecstasy, not particularly caring if anyone else was watching. She subconsciously placed her hands on his waist and pushed her body against his, reciprocating the kiss with as much vigor and passion as she felt from Jaskier.
After a moment or so, she pulled away to catch her breath, her lips turning upward into a smirk. “My, my, so eager...”
The bard's heart was beating so fast that he was even afraid that she might hear it somehow. Especially when he felt Marian's hands on his waist, her body against his. And when he felt the touch on their lips was as hot as he had ever imagined and even dreamed of.
But like a momentary dream their lips parted. He panted and with a look of surprise for what had happened, yet he just smiled as well at his lovely champion.
"What can I do? It was your fault... You shouldn't have tempted me like that, my dear. I'm not a man to back down when a beautiful lady kisses me like that." He chuckles at her with a gleam in his gaze.

"I'm a stupid half-dragon! Not a damn little bird. I don't know if I can fly that high or reach the moon. I never really tried, lacked opportunity. And honestly I don't want to try. It's more likely that before I did think about doing that, get a villager or hunter to throw stones and arrows at me. So... no to your stupid request."
Jaskier looked at them somewhat judgmentally. Hoping they don't insist on in such silly thinking.
@barddragon said:  “I’m sorry, but the laws of physics simply say no to your stupid request.”
meme | accepting
Hena gasped, dramatically placing a hand on their chest. “ It was not a stupid request! Nor did it violate any laws of physics. A bee violates laws of physics, not witchers! ” A simple no would’ve sufficed but alas, both of them are dramatic.

Finally done— after three days! This is a scene from the thread between @madxmuses and myself— with Bruce and Jaskier getting chased by an ambush of barghests.
I sketched and inked this in IbisPaintX and then did the rest in the Procreate App. Cumulatively, I’d say this took at least 24 hours!

//Even after the implications the tv show put about Jaskier. That's not get my interest. Like yeah I relieved they put more importance for him. But I assume that could be dangerous for him as well. Since also a profecy tell about Jaskier future. Anyway, for my Jaskier AU it's change not. And even if it's canon, that will not define my Jaskier AU. I already create the dragon background for him and it will still continue my true canon.

They say that witchers don’t feel anything… but I’ve felt something for a few people, and they are all dead. Why? People are monsters. Why am I supposed to defend them? Foul race. It’s not always like this, Geralt. There are good and bad people. You usually meet the evil ones on your path. It’s the path of fighting… violence and aggression. You were forced to walk it. But there is more… love , friendship, poetry. They are like pearls, diamonds, they are rare and thus so valuable. If someone is close to you, then it’s worth it to live. What more can I say? I’m not worth much, but friendship doesn’t have any price. It’s disinterested.
