Part of the reason I can't really make myself get hype for any of the shows this year is because so many of those institutions - and a good deal of the attendees - have decided to stand ten toes down behind the Palestinian genocide. Or they're at least comfortable with not acknowledging it.
Hard to get excited about the baubles in that light.

One of the few vaudeville-style drag queens who managed to sustain a career through the 1920s was Francis Renault, "The Slave of Fashion." While he was lauded for his soprano singing voice, he was most well-known for his opulent, outlandish wardrobe. In 1932, his costume collection was valued at $50,000, well over one million today.
