It's been a long time since I drew anything... Sorry my drawing couldn’t do her justice... Her color palette is so dreamy...

I tried again to rope a friend into playing FE games with me, and I failed again. This is the third time! It’s as frustrating as watching Quan and Ethlyn going through THAT scene.

I’m too tired to refine this. Maybe I’ll try to make it look better some other day.

Back to my fe15 pairs. The flirt and the faithful. This time it’s a not-ship ship. (WAT) It’s not my ‘ship’ in the sense that I don’t wish that they get together. I’m 100% happy about their endings where they just left for their own ‘career goals’. But it’s still my ship in the sense that I really like the memory prism story about these two and I kind of hope they actually developed little feelings for each other during their trip. (Also, the feeling they have is very subtle and doesn’t go beyond anything.)

My headcanon: When Jesse’s old he thinks back on his life and realizes that he has always been a very lucky man throughout his life. (Which means Silque’s prayer regarding this guy was answered.)

I cannot believe I took time to colour this! It’s just Silque is too pretty to be left uncoloured.

So this evening I was thinking about fe9 when I heard this weird song ‘the cat came back’ (sang by Luca Lento, here’s a link to the song on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l8Xwp67gCs). Suddenly I get the image of a drunk Daein soldier complaining to another one while Ranulf sneak into the room, messed with their stuffs and start bouncing on the floor like a fish out of water...To stop me from thinking about it, I just had to do some doodles.

There’s probably only one game on my 3ds I wouldn’t delete to make room for FE games, and that is MHX...I’ve spent 180 hours on that game already...

This is it. Sorry I couldn’t do a better job and it took WAY too long to finish. But, here, this is the little Chalphy centred piece I’ve been working on. I’m glad I got this out before my vacation ends. 

Epilogue dialogues are taken from serenesforest.net (scripts found in the forum, translated by SummerWolf, and hosted by AceNoctali. ) with some modifications here and there (as I forgot to take snapshots when I was playing the game).

I’ve mentioned I wanted to share some of my headcanons but I feel like there’s enough content here in this post so I’ll save that for some future posts (or just forget about them). 

Say, tomorrow is Mid Autumn Festival in China which is a traditional festival for family get-togethers. Isn’t it a nice idea to post this for this special day? (what am I even getting at?)

You have no idea how you’ve made my day. I saw your message on my way to lunch. I kept this creepy grin on my face that people walking by started staring at me, lol. No seriously, you’re too kind.

I don’t consider myself an artist, and the things I drew are no where near what I consider good fanarts are. I just draw stuffs to make myself happy. Do you know in FE8 there’s this cavalier named Forde, who kept his hobby of painting during war because he remembered that his paintings use to make his mother happy? I really want to be like him someday that my art can make other people happy as well. So I’m beyond glad that you shared my happiness. Also, I’m touched that you decided to tell me about it.

I finished FE4 last weekend! It was fun! I had so many feelings at the end...

I need more Oifey&Shanna&Seliph interactions! I need those between scenes contents where Seliph grew up under Oifey’s wings! Seriously, it’s super fun to make headcanons about this. Also, I’m curious about how Edain escaped from the battle of Belhalla and when she joined Oifey (and why she doesn’t show up in later chapters...is it because they’re too lazy to draw another portrait?).

I’m a sucker for characters that actually ‘grow up’ in stories. How I wish we have more in game scenes for characters like Oifey, Shanna and Finn(well, there are already quite a few...considering some other characters get next to none...I guess I’m being unreasonable here).

I’m working on a little piece of fanart focusing on Oifey, Seliph and the late Sigurd. It might take quite a while as I’m busy recently. Still I want to have some content to fill this post so here’s a quick doodle of Oifey.

Oifey’s ‘evolution line’ is like a myth.  It’s like evolve directly from Litten to Incineroar if you know what I mean...I wonder what he looks like in his late teens to early twenties...Maybe there is a period of time where he tied his hair (or maybe he wore his hair like Tobin in FE15, I don’t know...)?

I might share more headcanons when I finish that little piece of fanart but this is all for now. I’m curious about other people’s headcanon on this subject (what subject? I mean the between scenes contents...) as well so please do share if you feel like it? 

I finished Ch. 9 of FE4 last night. I know this scene is not supposed to be funny in any senses but I really laughed out loud when Leif told Altena to ‘just look at him’ to know he was speaking of the truth. (I know Altena could see Leif’s being sincere and he bears resemblance with herself and stuff, but I still cannot help but laugh.)

I imagined a high school AU where Lewyn (as a teacher) asked the students to write a short essay about ‘how to effectively convince people when getting into arguments’ and Leif just handed in a sentence ‘Tell them to look into my eyes’. Lewyn wanted to give Leif an F but Leif’s homeroom teacher Finn said for Leif this actually works... 

Ah...I have so many things I want to draw for this game but instead of working on any of them I did this shit post (?), lol.

Speaking of the Great Knight class, it has 2 identities in the series. One introduced in Sacred Stones is a armor/cavalry with the same weapon capabilities as generals, the 2nd version introduced in Genealogy of the Holy War is basically an Axe only paladin with a offensive focus. The series recurrently switches between the two, like FE8 had the armor version, not long after, FE10 had the axe only version again. This makes FE13 Great Knights having weapons then Generals, odd.

I assume this is the same anon saying “ Can’t say I’m a fan of the FE13 Great Knight, I’d rather they just make General good rather then have a class that exists solely to make poor General look like more of a joke. ” yeah?

I’m not sure if this is an ask that needs replying for there aren’t any questions asked. But maybe you’re here for my thoughts on these classes so I’ll just write some down here as a ‘reply’.

I have played both fe8 and fe13 and I’m currently playing fe4. (I’m still in the first generation part.) I agree that in fe13 the classes are unbalanced. With great knight having great defense and access to all three physical weapons General is severely outshined.

Then I think back on my fe experience so far, I found that I haven’t been using general units much in general (except for fe15). The reason is different in different fe games but mainly because their Mov being too low and a lot of in game missions need to be completed as soon as possible. Also, general is good for defense but in the fe games I’ve played so far, there are much more battles with offense goals than defense goals. (In fe15, because range units are extremely powerful and can hit from much further away, mounted units are much less important. Barons and Dreadfighters to the front, mage ring mages and bow wielders to the back, and everything’s solved… a bit slow maybe, but in fe15 there aren’t a lot of battles we need to hurry.)

I do like the fe8/fe13/fe14′s class branch promotion system though (but I’m not a fan of parallel class changes). If I were to make a fe game, I would make Great knight an axe/lance unit with more Def, less Mov than Paladin and less Def, more Mov than General. More importantly I would add more defensive goals in game (for example you need to seize an enemy castle but you need to defend several regions at the same time and as you march forward there would be enemy reinforcement trying to take over those regions.)

Imagine instead of r&g footsoldiers we got r&g cavaliers (as usual) in Echoes. Also, imagine we’ve still got Great knight / Paladin branches.

Gesture reference: previous FE games (FE6,7,8). (Haven’t put any thoughts into their armors designs. I just mixed what they have already with whatever that is easy to draw...)

I don’t even know why there’s this sudden urge for me to draw this. I didn’t even want to color it (but then I remembered the whole point of this is the color. Forsyth was not green in FE2). In the end I spent my weekend nights on this stupid idea.

Considering you like the dynamic of Sonya and Genny, have you considered angst headcanons when Celica's army decided to fight Sonya and her witches instead? Especially when the two fight one on one with each other?

Hello there! I’m so happy that I got an ask about Sonya and Genny so thank you! I like their dynamic mainly because everything about them is so angsty in my headcanons and I love that (please don’t judge me, lol). 

So sorry to disappoint, but I actually don’t have any interesting headcanons about them fighting before they really get to know each other. I mean, because they don’t really know each other at that point, it’s not angsty enough for me? To Genny, Sonya is just a beautiful but deadly enemy, and to Sonya, Celia’s army is a bunch of interesting people that she just has to defeat for her living. I tried imagining them fighting one on one, and in my headcanon, Genny would be thinking of doing her best to protect her friends and Sonya would be inwardly mocking the world which made someone so young stand on the battlefield. Neither of them would lament over the other’s death although their conscience might make them hurt a bit (but it would be not so different from killing anyone else).

I do have a detailed headcanon for these two fighting one on one though, but the setting is in post game where Sonya becomes a witch. I imagined Genny having no choice but to kill the witch. Long after that, Genny wrote a story where the main character experienced a life similar to hers but chose to cling on to his(or her) friend(or lover) as they made the decision to leave for good. The main character accompanied his(or her) friend(or lover) as they traveled around the world in the end. I won’t go into details here as I’m already off the track.
