Mixed Berry Cobbler
It鈥檚 always fun to play with recipes when you are trying to use food before it goes bad. While the link is for Peach Cobbler I only used the flour mixture. I truly love this mixture. It鈥檚 not overly sweet and I feel like it is a perfect match for any cobbler.
I used smaller tins and split the flour mixture and the fruit in fourths.聽
I cooked the mixed berries with 1 cup of sugar and lemon juice. I debated back and forth on if I wanted to add nutmeg and/or cinnamon but I decided against it ultimately.聽
I put the tins on a cookie sheet to make it easier to get the mini Cobblers in and out of the oven. I didn鈥檛 set a timer for the Cobbler to bake. I watch it until the edges are a golden color and the middle is cooked.聽

Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers
Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers tonight. There were some differences between the recipe and how I usually make my Philly Cheese Steaks. I have any mushrooms :(.
When I make Philly Cheese Steak I use shaved steak from Kroger. It cooks faster and it is easier to manage. I cook the mushrooms (when I have them), onions, and peppers together in beef broth and Worcestershire. I add the Worcestershire to taste. Once the vegetables are tender I will add the steak and let everything cook together. Salt and pepper to taste and I let it everything sit in the sauce before serving. 聽
The stuffed peppers on this recipe still had a crunch to them. I didn鈥檛 mind it because it wasn鈥檛 overly soggy. I didn鈥檛 cook everything together for another 15 minutes; only until the cheese was melted. When I cooked them I sprinkled salt, pepper, and Worcestershire on them. For the cheese I used Pepper Jack for my husband and Daiya (dairy free cheese) Mozzarella for me.

Strawberry Muffins
Today is my first Anniversary with my husband 馃槝. So of course when he ask for muffins I have to make some! Now when baking or even cooking I will use the same measuring spoon as much as possible to save on clean up. I used frozen strawberry's because that's what I had. The muffin mixture was thicker than I expected. I cooked the muffins for 24 minutes instead of 25 minutes. Personally I didn't think the muffins had much flavor. You could definitely taste the strawberry but I did expect more of a sweet taste. Next time I will probably add some vanilla extract and I might even add some lemon juice!

Getting Started
I've been debating for awhile on starting a blog about recipes that I make. I enjoy making multiple different recipes and sharing them with friends and family! Of coursey joy mainly comes from making delicious sweets and treats but we can't completely survive on those. On each blog post I will add my opinion about the recipe and give suggestions/ advice on changes. If there are any recipes that someone would like me to make let me know! I'm super excited to get this started.
