Relaxation.

Hii! would it be alright for me to use your photographs as references for my paintings? these are not commissions btw
Of course. Generally I'm OK with my work being used to inspire other art as long as it's in line with the broad message I try to put across. Its hard to give a blanket answer though because it can be used in so many ways - eg if someone does a photo realistic copy of my picture and then sells it, it's going to be different to someone just using my poses as a life reference for a small part of their painting.
But basically if you're going to be profiting (financially or in other ways) from your work and my work played a relatively important part in the creation of it just get in contact and check things over with me - I'm probably going to be OK with it, but I don't want to give carte blanche to the theives and scammers that just steal content online and then try and claim that I'm OK with it.
