Tachibana and Nata Duo

Gift for @milky-rozen @onnajosshumiwa because I am loving her Ginchiyo 💙💙🧡🧡

The inclusion of Lady Nata came from me vaguely remembering Milky mentioning how my Lady Nata's situation with Sōrin reflects Muneshige's situation with Ginchiyo and inspo arrived. 😳

Working with the orange and blue color palette with Ginchiyo was so fun 💙 And ofc when I saw Ginchiyo's outfit for the first time, the sleeves immediately made me think of European Renaissance clothing with large poofy sleeves like this for example:

And ofc I couldn't keep the patterns of Ginchiyo's outfit out because including the patterns pull her sleeves together 🧡💙

I am planning to draw Milky's Ginchiyo again since I found some interesting outfits that are Ginchiyo's concept outfits in Nobunaga's Ambition and that have Milky's Ginchiyo's color palette 💙🧡😳

Struggle

This is still a WIP, but weeks ago, my japanese uncle told me of an old family legend surrounding Myōkyū's death but that's for another post.

While I do plan on coloring this, this is meant to illustrate Motonari becoming depressed after Okimoto's disappearance.

And Myōkyū being Motonari's outlet that brings him back to his senses.

But in my senbasafancanon, little Shōjumaru got scared of what may happen to Okimoto.

But once Okimoto goes missing.

Motonari goes into shock and orders for him to be found. Though Komatsumaru was to take his father's place.

Komatsumaru's grand Auntie whom I renamed ZhiYun ( 枝云) highly recommended Motonari to let Komatsumaru live his childhood and take control.

Though Motonari is reluctant, he began to isolate himself, not wanting to drink any food or water until news of his brother is given.

Days turning into weeks, Myōkyū began to worry for Motonari after noticing him resembling a skeleton and begged him to eat something.

But Motonari wouldn't eat anything until Myōkyū attempted to do the same, causing Motonari to eat food and apologize to her for putting her under so much stress.

Myōkyū forgives him and helps him recover

The first wife of Mōri Motonari has fascinated readers, historians, romance story enjoyers and Mōri clan enthusiasts alike.

Though she is one of my favorite women of the time period. Her life is shrouded in obscurity aside from the fact that she was loved by her husband and children.

As how my ojisan would say, that Lady Myōkyū falls into the category of one of Japan's earliest evaporating people due to the fact that she hasn't been found

Hiraya aka Amihan

She is a new Senbasa oc and ofc the first filipina oc I ever drew. ❤️❤️ She is also part of my original historical fiction story where instead of the Imjin War, the Japanese venture to the Philippines to drive the western imperialist colonizers out.

Amihan was born in Luzon 434 years ago.

She was the daughter of the chief of a group of native filipino tribe called the Igorot.

Her real name was Hiraya. But she was always referred to by her nickname Amihan which meant "wind" or "Winter Storm".

It is to be noted that Ami is nicknamed after the goddess/God Amihan due to her wish to venture outside her village in the Codillera mountains and see where the wind takes her.

Her father, however, forbids it due to the Invasion of the colonists committing genocide and forcing their beliefs very violently towards the filipino people.

Amihan, however, finds a way to meet with Japanese traders but also Middle Eastern traders and traders from North East Asia.

But she also goes to make new friends with other indigenous filipino tribes such as the Visayan, Twalisi, etc

Ami does ofc learn that the world can be an ugly place when she is abducted by colonists along with several other women and including a trader from Japan and fears that if she is able to make it back home. She'll have to receive a lecture from her father and mother.

Ami would be rescued by Kurushima Michifusa, but even though he rescued her, she immediately fled. As she thought, he was one of the Wōkou pirates who have a notorious reputation for stirring up trouble along the coasts of other countries in Asia. But historically speaking, the filipino people suffered more oppression from the Spanish than they did with the Wōkou pirates during then.

But of course, Ami grows smitten with him upon meeting him after he goes after her to make sure she doesn't get picked up by the common enemy and when Ami realizes that he means her no harm. But their romance develops more than that since Michifusa doesn't realize it until she teaches him that the real ambition to his occupation is adventure.

More is to come when I finish Michifusa's design.

When Ami does take him to meet her parents, let's just say, though, they're glad Ouchi Yoshitaka sent someone to rescue her. They are very suspicious of Michifusa because he is a leader of pirates. But this is because they have been isolating themselves within the mountains for so long they find the pirates sus because the Wōkou pirates.

Michifusa, in my senbasa, probably wishes she could go with him to Ehime, but let's just say she's reluctant because she's nervous about going to a strange land across the Pacific ocean to the north. During this time, Michifusa had to return to Japan for business reasons. But Ami does eventually go there due to Takahime's curiosity of what her husband's youngest brother's mentions of meeting a woman with skin like copper with an adventurous nature.

Even Michifusa thinks at first that she's a princess, but the system with the Igorot tribe is very different compared to his homeland's status and marital system. So yeah, good luck with being an earlier and japanese version of King Norodom I of Cambodia, Michifusa. Even though it ain't relevant to the story or that Ami is gonna dump you for a foreign religion. XD

Changing the topic here, so bare with me.

Ami's favorite thing to eat is Pinikpikan, which is one of many igorot cuisine.

She ofc loves buko juice.

When she first saw the billowing sails of japanese ships on the coast of Luzon. She could only describe those sails as "almost bland" since in south Eastern Asian culture, patterns are a big thing in clothing, architecture etc.

Which is why she finds samurai armor fascinating as they are works of art.

Amago Haruhisa x Mōri Motonari

This ship is Hella underrated and deserves love. It's both intriguing and funny XD

Shame that Haruhisa's and Motonari's rivalry recieved the same treatment Motoharu's and Shikanosuke's rivalry recieved in Samurai Warriors 5 because believe it or not! Koei Tecmo took notes from Sengoku Basara with having Motonari fight Shikanosuke but have Motoharu who is designed as a sexy, hunky, strong guy like the historical figure but they don't have him fight Shikanosuke whose also in the game.

But overall, Haruhisa has been reminding me of Carlos Oliveira from the original resident evil nemesis. They're both flirty, sexy and funny as. XD

I was reading his dialogue when you have Motonari fight him, and my goodness, why does it sound like Haruhisa is flirting with him? XD

❄The Snow Queen❄

I forgot I had this drawing of Asa for @onnajosshumiwa @milky-rozen saved in my drafts. 😳 I love Asa's design and most of all Asa and her owner's lovely artwork and such. 💙💙💖💖

Coloring this took an eternity to finish because let's just say the colors looked pretty heavy while I was adding in the shading but I began to feel better as soon as I began adding the lighting.

Since Asa is an ice user, I felt like having her in an atmosphere of winter with pink, purple and blue hues would suit her. And ofc I feel like here she's walking by a sliding screen door with a design with pine trees but with snow.

Sengoku Basara OC - The Lady Demon

Since I enjoy designing villains, and I have been watching the Mouri Motonari taiga drama, this woman is based on Lady Hisa from the drama. Except she is underdeveloped rn atleast for my fancanon. She is a bit younger than Sugi since she seems much older in the drama. She is wearing tengu geta which has one tooth. Seems like hell to walk or run in. Or who knows, you never know. She might be floating in mid air.

She is a hino enma. A yokai said to be born from the angered spirit of young woman cut down during a battle. Hino Enma take the form of beautiful women who lure men and destroy them.

Her design was heavily inspired by Nioh's design on a hino enma, and I love that design ♥️ I also mustn't forget to mention that I have gotten some inspiration for Sugi having 3 female companions.

Any man who falls prey to a hino enma weaker and poorer, following by death, the hino enma moves on to find another victim. So pretty much Hino Enma are pretty much one of the Femme Fatales of yokai world.

Hisa, and Mitsu are one of Sugi's three female companions. A third figure is on the way.
