I went back and watched every single episode of timeless from season one episode twelve to the series finale and wrote down every single time Emma was on screen. I am fuming at the amount of screen time she has.

My favorite character ever is literally only on screen for about 50 minutes. WTF

This is literally the best head canon I’ve ever heard, it breaks my heart omg
i’m kinda drunk from a party and got a girl’s number and i’m in my feelings so let me tell you….emma whitmore is so touch starved. like, she definitely has a severe touch aversion from being abused by her father. she tenses when people accidentally brush against her, she flinches when someone tries to place a hand on her shoulder. she associates being touched with being hurt.
on the other hand, emma has always been so alone that she has no idea what simple intimacy is like with another person. it gives her so much anxiety but she’s also so intrigued, watches people hold hands and sling arms around each other and hug and wonders what it would be like to have that and have it feel good.

Who I’d Want on my Time Team
We’re taking the mothership which I would assume has at least six seats because of Chinatown.
First Seat: For sure Emma Whitmore. I mean she’s a pilot and basically an assasin so I for sure want her on my team.
Second Seat: Garcia Flynn. He’s just great. Very protective and trigger happy so we would all be in good hands.
Third Seat: Lucy Preston. We need our token historian! Also she would basically be untouchable because of first of all Flynn, but second of all Emma because as much as she hates Lucy, I don’t think she would let anything happen to her.
Fourth Seat: Jiya Marri! Got to have the psychic with us just in case and also she’s hilarious and would make everything better.
Fifth Seat: Rufus Carlin. He and Jiya would just be disasters the whole time and it would be hilarious. Plus the more pilots the better!
Sixth Seat: ME. If I was in the show anyways. But for canon show, definitely Jessica Logan. With Jess, Emma, and Flynn, we’d all be untouchable.
