Imo Near's long hair is a sign of depression. I made Mello cut his hair. It's scary to know how depression can prevent a person from performing the most basic activities.

I draw a scene from the fanfiction "A boy who lacked manners", in which Near falls asleep after talking on phone for 4 hours with Mello.

I especially love how the author wrote about Near here (the lucky bastard). This is how I imagine Near's room would look like if he was a highschool student.

I wanted to give up a lot of times when drawing this picture for several reasons. I am glad I've finally get it done.

I had a drawing with the same quote before. I didn't like the context behind it at all. But I really like this quote so I decided to draw another pic for it. Not exactly how I want it to be... but better than the old pic I guess :) One day I will make it how I really want it to be.

Hel is writing a fic in which Near wears a white sundress. It happens to fit so much with one of Ng's arts. I don't remember clearly if the part they showed me mentioned anything about the surrounding but Ng's art is set at sunset and even the author said it was exactly how they pictured Near in that scene.

However my picturing of it is something like this ^_^ probably OOC but ... well *shrugs* I wanted to add Mello as well but I couldn't.

erm the ideas are not mine. When I mentioned Alice in Wonderland (my favorite AU) someone from Reddit (dang I don't even know their name >< what a great person I am!!! Let's call them Maxwell ok?) told me I should make Mello a tree and Near a caterpillar and at first I was like: "what a bullshit my boys are pretty they can't be a fucking tree and caterpillar". But then Maxwell continued: "Mello will tell Near to scram everyday but if Near eats from other trees he will get mad". It's so fucking Mello-yyyy xDDDDD Now I love the ideas for realllllll

And I made a silly comics about it ._.

I wanted to draw Near looking down at the reflection and seeing something else. It was an illusion that tempted him to fall into the water and got drown (might be an attempt to commit suicide. It was ambiguous depending on the viewer's thought). But "fortunately" my skill is limited and couldn't draw it! (yet!). So Near was saved lol In the end I drew it as 2 simple parts: the first one was when he was younger and still believed in miracles/dreams and could feel a little hope/illusion while sleeping and he was happy for a while. A fake happiness. But as he grows up he realizes that all of it is not true and now he only looks at the sky hopelessly. But it doesn't stop him from wanting to reach something unreal/unavailable. And you know when you want something so badly but cannot have it, the despair is unbearable!!! Sorry to anyone who reads this depressing stuff!!!!

Erm... for very late White Day

When I read fics a lot of people write how Near plays with Mello's hair as twirling the strands same way he does with his own hair. I want to do something different for them: shaping the strands to form hearts and it fits with Valentine's Day or White Day a lot! You already know where I picked up the reference, but I suppose that Mello's hair is not long enough to form a proper heart like Kendall's <3

hmm probably no one cares but I feel the need to make a separate post for this because it's on my 2024 resolution: I have finished the 100 theme challenges that Smile started 12 years ago >_<

She did 65 drawings from 6/2011 to 6/2012 and I did 35 rest from 11/2023 to 3/2024. This is where I keep the full version of it, in numeric order so old works and new works are mixed. 65% of it are Meronia xDDD

The only things I regret is that I should have finished it in 2012 because Smile would have been able to draw the ideas better than I did (I forgot a lot of things). Plus my watchers on deviantArt could have seen the full version. They were very supportive and enthusiastic with my progress back then <3

Anyways I have closed an old chapter of my life and am hoping to head to another chapter where I will only work on brighter and happier drawings <3

Why are shy girls so much more cute and attractive?

oh hi anon! I don't remember clearly where and when I said so (goldfish brain) but I definitely can imagine myself saying something similar <3 This is heavily based on personal opinion and the culture in which I was brought up. As an Asian we often find shy girls cute and attractive in some ways. I know it's opposite to the Western culture where you are raised to speak your mind openly and be confident (and I find it attractive as well, one of the reasons why I like Mello a lot lol).

Anyways back to the point, isn't a shy girl with downcast eyelashes and a pink blush on her cheeks cute?? And I think it must be very hard to gain her trust and make her open up to you. And when that happens isn't it one of the greatest accomplishments? (like when a cat chooses you??)

And I think when I said that it had to be related to Near lool Now once again I believe that in canon in no way Near is shy. But his feature/appearance is very "shy materials"!!! Look at him!!! all big eyes and porcelain skin, and petite and looks younger than his age, and all white like an angel. It's even more true if he were a girl!!! And imagine she looked up to you all big eyes and talked to you in that timid and quiet voice?? Doesn't it scream "protect me protect me" and you'd jump into fires for her loool *bang my head on the wall*

There are more aspects where I find shy girls cuter and more attractive *ehem* but let's not go into that =v=
