I call him that cause he literally had a rat on his head in one scene. He is literally rat man.
don't you guys (hetalia fans) ever get sick of the whole "rat man" thing

i think hetalia bosses would like to show the nation-people under their charge to other bosses, like showing your pet. "[country] come here, and don't say or do anything stupid". monarchs would be the most likely to ask to see heta-people: "[country] met my ancestors", so you can have presidents/prime ministers [etc] calling their pet nation for stupid reasons.

All I'm saying is that all Alfred would have to do to escape DC is to steal a matching T-shirt from a middle school tour chaperone, slip into a hoard of middle schoolers in the mall, and just let them shuffle him onto a charter bus where he would make immediate friends with all the students, the bus driver, and the teachers who would make a fuss if anyone tried to arrest him.

Germany's brothers refer to him as "Küken," which means "chick," as in "baby chicken," how adorable is that? 😭
It's even more so if you keep in mind Prussia's fondness for little birds and his pet Gilbird.

🔥 for ships?
hmmmmmmmmm
claims of incest are kinda stupid in hetalia. these are immortal nations with no canon explanation for their birth and no explanation of their genetics. it's okay not to feel comfortable with a ship because you see their relationship as more platonic/familial than romantic but don't attack people over it

unpopular opinion but i actually think it’s funny how most nations have uncommon human names.
especially if the reason it’s uncommon is because it’s old fashioned. it just adds so much charm and really pushes the fact that the nations are immortal beings who can sometimes be slightly out of touch
obviously there’s a difference between slightly inaccurate to downright offensive. this is about the former. just let the dirt people be a little odd.

Me, explaining how much of a shame it is that Roderich doesn't have white as his signature color in canon or in much fanart, despite it historically being the color of Austrian army uniforms, because putting him in white would also have the symbolism of making him bride-coded, alluding to marriage as his favorite diplomatic strategy:

People who clearly haven't looked deep enough into Hetalia before talking: Germany is depicted as perfect, logical and flawless, which is problematic
Germany in canon whenever he feels an emotion or must do something without following clear instructions:

damnit I spent so many hours making the hetalia pixel art into alpha guides only for braceletbook to reject them since “the colors aren’t distinct enough”
Oh I’m sorry, guess all that work was for nothing then!
