Today I was talking about t in public and this guy just comes up behind me, goes “you’re trans too?” and just pulls up his shirt, flashes his top surgery scars, and runs away.

And the funniest part is that I literally did the same thing the other day.

I saw someone with ace and aro rings and I just ran up to them, held up my hands, said “I love your rings!” and ran away.

Queer culture is going to to queer people, telling them you’re queer, and running away.

This just in: men are good. Masculinity is good. Being a man is good. Yes including cis men. Especially including trans men. If you’re someone who loves men, that’s good. Male love is good: the way men love each other, the way men love themselves is good. You should not be ashamed of loving men or of being a man, you should not shame others for loving men or being a man. Maleness is not a threat or an evil or unsafe.

me, internally: well, whenever i even slightly mentioned a man you were always reacting as if i was in love with him even though i have told you i'm uncomfortable with that. i tend to be anxious around men because i am worried that they will think me saying anything and treating them normally means i have a crush on them. basically i just learned that a man can never see me as anything else other than a potential partner because you saw me as a potential partner of every man i have ever mentioned.
