It has been a LONG time hasn’t it? I’ve been considering returning but also debating if I should archive this blog to start off fresh in the sense of not drowning in old drafts. All past relations and plots would be brought along too but you get what I mean yes? What do you all think?

“I apologize if I made you worry, Grim. Though we found each other and that’s what matters!” Nix made sure to stay close as advised, not wanting to get separated from her friend now that they found one another. This city was so different from other cities she has seen, especially when she stayed in Alola for a time. Though it was a shame that due to the crowd, the silverette had to talk her two usual companions into staying inside their pokeballs until they reached a clearer area. This was only made possibly by her promising them a treat later for the inconvenience. 

“Infamous treat you say? What makes it that way? I’d love to try it but you don’t have to pay for me though, I have money too. It would be rude if I didn’t offer at the very least, Grim.”

(Been a long time hasn’t it? Well I played Pokemon Sword, taking my time in Shield, and my muse decided to wake up! I’ll be clearing out old drafts and likely updating the theme to give this blog a refresh. A mini promo too for good measure!)

“The Galar region looks wonderful! I won’t mind going on another adventure.”

“I would offer some advice on that but.. well you know my situation is a bit different from yours.” Nix’s house was given to her, free of charge and with no other bills to worry about as well. Hardly anyone was lucky enough to have a miracle like that given to them. So she felt it would be unfair if she tried to weigh in as if she went through a house hunt before. “I do know I keep forgetting that doors need to be locked though. It’s a good thing I always have some my Pokemon at home..” If not then it was likely her home would’ve been ransacked by now while off on some journey elsewhere. A small sigh passed her lips as she gave Chester’s hand a small squeeze. 

“Things sure seemed simpler back when we were younger huh, Chester? Only having our adventures to focus on and seeing the regions.. Though I will say that I won’t complain about this part of adult life. I get to help you find a place for you and your team to live!” Nix smiled over at her boyfriend, moving a little closer to place a kiss on his cheek. It was then that she recalled a certain gift she was going to give Chester! The inspections of apartments was s fun that it slipped her mind for a moment. Hopefully he would accept it, she felt it only right after all he had done for her. “By the way, Chester, I have a present! It’s not wrapped or anything but.. I decided to help pay for whatever place you pick! I have some money to spare so what better use for it than to help get you a nice place to live?”

“That’s a good idea, Chester! We have to make sure this place has everything you need.” Nix held Chester’s hand, tugging it a little to begin their investigation. She never got to do something exciting like this, looking at places to live. Checking out apartments and houses, such things seemed out of reach until her friend got her a place. So to be able to share this with her boyfriend was a wonderful experience! “And if this one doesn’t work out, we can just look at another one right?”

Chester followed the tug on his arm with a small trot in his step. It was funner than he’d expected , finding a few listings and going to evaluate them , though a good chunk of that fun came from doing the visits with Nix. There were a surprising number of big and bold Important Things to keep in mind , as well. Like if what he found was easy to get to from the Contest Hall and vice versa. Or , if the amenities made up for a neighborhood with a drainage problem. Or , if he found the perfect place only for it to be way outside his budget.

“How do adults keep it all straight?” the sigh he lets out ignores the fact that , not only is he an adult , he’s been one for several years.

It was a big step he was taking after all, finding a place of his own. The silverette did feel bad that she couldn’t just give him a place like Rex did for her but that wouldn’t stop her from helping. “There is a good amount of space and the nearby greenery has some bug types hanging around too. They all sounded friendly to me.”

“Hmmn.” He placed a hand across his brow as though he was surveying the area. “Wanna look around the apartment some before we check out the neighborhood?” Boy would it suck if he fell in love with the area before finding out the elevators never worked or the washing machines took a dollar per load.

“That sounds like a good idea! We have to make sure there is enough space and nothing is out of order.” Nix wouldn’t want Chester to move into a place that wasn’t exactly safe. He and his team deserved better than to settle for something run down. After everything he had done for her, and because she loved him with all her heart, she was going to help as much as she could! “After we look at the apartment itself, the neighborhood is important too. If you don’t like your neighbors then staying here won’t be enjoyable.”

(Nothing like seeing a trailer for a live action Pokemon movie that makes your muse spring to life. Nix just like, “See?! It’s like that!” So I’ll be hanging around here today.)
