haein was so obviously scared of hearing her diagnosis at the hospital so she asks her husband to go with her even though they're not getting along at the moment.. this stoic woman who doesn't want anyone to know about her weaknesses tells her husband about her illness and... he welcomes her impending death with open arms.
i get that hyunwoo feels suffocated in their marriage, esp his in-laws, but he doesn't even know that despite everything, haein is still defending him against her own family. despite everything he's still the one she thinks to depend on. haein still stays up to wait for him to get home. haein still cares enough to vase his flowers. haein still cancels everything on her schedule to make time for him. but he doesn't even care about her anymore.
