940114, happy bearday, jongin 🐻 — some answers aren’t always heard. they’re felt.
“when my dad was young, he loved drawing and painting. he wanted to be an artist but his parents disapproved, so he had to abadon his dream. he grew up to be a man, got married and had a son - me. one day, when i was little, i saw someone dancing on TV. i told my dad that i want to do that. the next day he took me to a dance studio. it was an amazing feeling, i experienced complete freedom. soon after, my mum, sisters and i moved to seoul, so i could pursue dance properly. my dad had to remain in our hometown village, to support my dance class tuition. he knew what it feels like to give up one’s dream. he chose to remain there, so i didn’t have to give up mine.” — jongin talking about his late father, the performers act V.

Apparently Sehun dresses up as Santa for the children's home he volunteers at. He also stopped believing in Santa when he was five but he does this for the kids. My love for EXO has no limits I swear

tiánmì mì nǐ xiào dé tiánmì mì hǎoxiàng huā er kāi zài chūn fēng lǐ
January 6, 1932
Like every morning at this hour, the street is packed. Crammed by foreign merchants, ladies with pearls, men in suits; soldiers, conversations, the smell of gunpowder and select snuff, people on the sidewalk trying to sell its very soul. And then, there’s the flower boy. Every day, y/n and her brother walk out of the cafeteria when the clock strikes ten forty-three. Every day, both are allowed to forget about the war during breakfast; she focused on the scent of her tea and Yifan in the bitter taste of coffee. And also every day, even if it rains, thunders or ⎯in this case⎯ is snowing, the flower guy is there, under the doorway, waiting for a client to svelte the thick bouquet between his hands. Meanwhile the mornings are monotonous, her brother’s conversation doesn’t tend to be the same. Today in particular it revolves around Kim Junmyeon; a Korean businessman who apparently isn’t only interested in investing in the family refinery (their parents manufacture weapons for the Red Army), but also in her. “Has Mr. Kim been in China before?” “It’s his first time,” Yifan answers. “He said he’s sorry; especially if all Chinese women are like you”. Yifan receives a skeptical look from her sister, who turns at the exact moment the flower boy’s weary smile thank an elderly for the fifty Yuan resting on his palm. Y/n smiles as well; she smiled at all times his parched lips twisted slightly when the bouquet lost flowers. She felt a lump in her throat when she found him standing outside the bakery, counting the pennies with his fingers only to stand still ten minutes more, craving the taste of bread. And she felt a part of her heart dying when, throughout one of her sporadic night walks, she discovered him huddled on the sidewalk, with the bouquet of daisies safe against his chest. “Won’t you say anything?” Yifan’s voice drags her out of memory lane. Her brother stares at her puzzled, waving a hand in front of her eyes.   “He speaks an excellent Mandarin to be his first time in China,” she points out. Because she isn’t interested in the praise and compliments of Kim Junmyeon, nor in his brother’s intention to create her interest in the entrepreneur. Her attention belongs to the flower boy. “He’s worked extensively with Chinesse.” “Mhm.” What happened next is so cruel, so sudden and unexpected that even she ⎯dam of every move of the flower boy; of Luhan⎯ couldn’t react somehow. Two soldiers walk into the cafeteria: two coats, two buttons, two badges. Two are also the flowers presented to them. With a weary smile, but gentler than any of these men have seen, Luhan tries to gain a little money by offering his flowers. They don’t refuse shaking their heads or politely saying ‘no’; the cruelty of the war is depicted in the hands of the soldier, who with a jaded glare snatches the bouquet and tosses it to the ground. Alongside the flowers he falls, on his knees, trying to rescue the bud although the other soldier has already crushed most of them. When his gaze meets hers, she is already running in his direction. Front him, face to face, is very different from all those times she spied him through the glass or from meters away. A scarlet line is drawn under his eyes, dark circles plum and lips shredded. His clothes are thin, worn and old; so thin that the snow seems to be what shelters him, so worn it has holes everywhere and so old the white of his shirt has turned yellow-ish. His hands, gloveless, desperate to rescue the flowers are covered by the thorns trail, showing his calloused fingertips about to turn purple. She doesn’t think it twice. She doesn’t hesitate when she pulls out her gloves and places them in his hands, neither she trembles with cold when she takes off her thick woolen scarf and wraps it around Luhan’s neck. Then, with suffocated cheeks, y/n observes him place a daisy behind her ear. The smile she gives Luhan in return is enough to make him feel the sweetness of honey on his tongue; it is a smile that bloomed with the flowers, which twirled the winter wind into spring breeze. She walks to the car without a noise and behind he is left, in the company of the most beautiful daisies she would never see again; jerking from her the urge to run back to him and hug him as she tries to gauge the thousand emotions the stranger makes her feel. With her head leaning against the window, the flower Luhan tucked in her hair is now fiddling between her fingers. Yifan doesn’t say a word; a female sigh is what breaks the silence: “Beautiful.” “The flowers?” “The boy”.
