it's such a minor thing that i can easily see it being cut but it's literally soooo so adorable 🥺 i have got to see apollo being soft with his future son-in-law. this is genuinely an essential scene to me.

Okay but my favorite revelation of the Newest Olympian interview with Walker Scobell is that as much as he hates the age gap between Luke and Annabeth, he wants to play jealous Percy. He's such a Percabeth shipper someone help him

Imagine Annabeth and Percy have a kid early, unplanned and it kinda fucks with their finances so Percy drops out of school to get a job so he can care for the kid and support Annabeth in school. At first he gets a job teaching kids sword fighting but then he hears about underwater welding which pays well because it’s dangerous but Percy is a child of the sea so it’s much less so for him. His boss is even willing to give him flexible hours which means Annabeth doesn’t have to take their kid to class anymore and they can actually afford daycare (why does is it the price of a mortgage nowadays???). A huge financial burden is lifted and Percy doesn’t mind the work so it’s good all the way around.

Fast forward to when Annabeth is done her masters in architecture and lands a job at a top firm. They’ve got savings and have Annabeth’s income to rely on. Percy heads back to school and finishes a degree in marine biology, going on to research some really niche topics like how underwater welding impacts the environment and shifting from there until he’s a well known expert in the field.

Just them finding their way. Supporting each other and landing on their feet no matter what

the back half of sea of monsters is super cute and full of percabeth moments, especially from annabeth’s perspective (aka the emotionally aware perspective)

-percy holds annabeth through her breakdown after the sirens in a bubble underwater, and talks her through it afterward

-percy falls asleep on a sleeping annabeth and the golden fleece as they’re riding back to miami, since the story is from percy’s pov we don’t know what happens while he’s asleep but it’s safe to say annabeth wakes up at some point and is happy to let percy lie on (cuddle with?) her until they reach the shore since no one wakes percy up until the hipocampi stop moving

-she doesn’t say it out loud but she totally is doubly impressed by two things percy does in like a 30 minute span once they get ashore: trust clarisse to fly home alone with the fleece, and sneakily iris message dionysus and trick luke into clearing chiron’s name to dionysus and the camp. annabeth says percy is ‘too nice’ to let clarisse leave with the fleece which i think is her admitting it’s a good idea she wouldn’t have thought of herself since trusting people who don’t treat her well doesn’t work out for her (see: chase, frederick), and percy tricking luke with the sword and monolouge to distract him from the iris message behind him is totally a plan worthy of athena

it’s no wonder she kisses him (on the cheek) after they win the chariot race

annabeth taking the knife for percy was peak impulsiveness at that stage of their relationship. because up until this point of the series. if i'm remembering correctly. all of annabeth actions were calculated. even her stubborn actions had merit. but taking the knife? knowing he was invulnerable? but taking the knife? knowing that him watching you cry out in agony hurt him just the same if he had been stabbed? but taking the knife? and then lying on a cot in the glisten of the setting sun? vulnerable and slow? grounding him like he's the one who needed saving? like watching you bleed out is enough to kill him? and touching the small of his back brings him back to life? impulsiveness turned romantic. turned angst. turned 'all the words i didn't say but you heard them anyway'. don't talk to me.

i really hope we get a scene of percabeth at senior prom in pjo 7/8😭❤️

percy: sooo… you think he’s got powers?

annabeth: hard to say. he’s young. it’s definitely too early to tell.

percy: *slowly moves crossword puzzle towards baby*

annabeth: percy! our 2 week old is not going to be able to do a crossword!

percy: hey you never know! he has your hair. we could have a little genius!

annabeth: seaweed brain he doesn’t even realize he has hands yet!

*a few minutes later*

annabeth: *looks around to make sure percy isn’t in the room*

annabeth whispering: okay sweetie, you see this cup of water? show mommy if you can make something happen!

Luke being given a quest at 17, feeling like there's no glory in it because it's a quest someone's already succeeded before, but then failing that very quest he considered to be beneath him, getting a permanent scar, "ruining it" for the rest of the campers because now no one else can go on quests and earn glory in the eyes of the gods, so he turns to Kronos, and years later here comes a possible candidate for the great prophecy, 12 years old, gets the first quest the camp has done since Luke's fucked it up, and Luke is actively ensuring this quest is an impossible quest!! he's literally rigged it so Percy's gonna fail (the shoes, the bolt appearing in his bag) and then this kid somehow succeeds still??? and not only that, Percy got the unique quest Luke wanted in the first place and achieved feats no one else had and earned glory in the eyes of his father, all because Luke created the circumstances for that to happen??

my little headcanons (pjo) - part 5

percy and annabeth are often very unapproachable, and not very likable at first impression

first of all, they are both tall, tan, and attractive, both with strikingly beautiful eyes and in amazing shape. some people might assume they are snobby and cocky. but they also seem very standoffish. they act like they are ready to be attacked at any minute - always watching the doors and windows, heads snapping towards loud sounds and movements, giving everyone critical looks - like i feel like people might assume they are some kind of undercover spies or something. and sure in some scenarios, if they are out with friends/family and in a relaxed state, if you meet them then, they are great! but most of the time when they are in the mortal world, they are constantly on the lookout. they are paranoid and don’t trust people easily, in fear someone is a monster or enemy in disguise. imagine just trying to kindly introduce yourself, and percy gives you a very intimidating and uncertain look. something about him just feels dangerous. and then there’s annabeth, whose fierce grey eyes are staring into your soul with unsettling intensity, and you feel like she is extracting every piece of information about you. no subtlety whatsoever. and you’re not sure if they are police officers or ex-military or what, but something about them tells you that these two have been through some shit. i’d be like “who the fuck are these people?” but once they trust you, you would see that percy is a hilarious sweet goofball and annabeth is super warm and loving. they are both very witty and sarcastic, and head-over-heels in love with each other. they are a blast to be around, but only if and when they trust you.
