So, I crochet.
And I know this is where I put my fic and stuff. But except for occasional life updates I tend to keep it to that.
But.
I've worked on this for 3 months and I'm proud as absolute hell.
It measures around 6 1/2 ft (214cm) across and I'm quite proud.
I still have to actually assemble it, and that is going to be a whole ordeal, but still.
I'm really proud of this.
Not being able to work and struggling to write with all my recent health issues has really taken a lot out of me. Just kind of sitting around being useless and expensive.
But I MADE this.
With my own two hands.
And it feels good to actually make something.
So yeah.
Just thought I'd share.

*Whew!* I need one more square for each background. We had trouble laying it out because even using the whole center of the room we still had to squish them together somewhat. I feel like something it off-kilter with the dark blue rows, but I'm going to try to put some blocks together in sections and hopefully, if there's an error near the bottom, I will be able to figure out what it is while that part is still laid out on the floor in pieces.

sometimes spite is a powerful motivator and today its motivating me to crochet
long story short I saw a cool bag on pinterest while I was looking for crochet patterns but there was no fucking pattern but one of my friends found a pattern for a similar but not quite bag so I watched an hour long video, transcribed it into text, and am now gonna make a wholeass backpack just because Sunflower Vibe

- Pomegranate bag
- Hooded cloak w/butterfly pattern in it
- Crochet pig (I need eyes and stuffing)
- Lil dolls of my OCs (I want an amigurimi catboy bard listen….)
- Blue jay (but the different colors seems like hell to switch between)

- Barn owl bookbag? Similar to the sunflower bag? The lid is the owl’s head?

- …water lily bag? Big circle with a biiiig zipper added in and a liner with long straps instead of a drawstring deal

I finally finished my hooded scarf!! I just added the button this morning!
Through a couple of (mistakes? Blunders? Flawed decisions?) on my end, the hood is extra big and the scarf is VERY long. But I like it a lot! And now my mom wants one too lol

Hello hello!
I'm Ani! You might recognize me from one of my other blogs (anipwrites, anipgarden, solarpunkani)--I decided to make a blog dedicated to my crafting!
I can't claim that I do a lot of crafting--I've picked up crochet fairly recently, and I've done some sewing in the past. I would love to learn embroidery so I can make patches and such someday too!
I predict this blog will probably be 75% reblogging other people's crafts and/or patterns (which will likely be tagged as #others crafts or #patterns or #inspo) and 25% me either sharing my own stuff or rambling (which will be tagged as #ani rambles and/or #my crafts).
For the most part I'm here to vibe. I don't take crafting commissions or anything, but if I make something and you like it a lot I do have a Ko-Fi!
