I wish villagers would ask you to do things for them more. like in city folk(only other one I played) they would ask me to deliver stuff for them all the time, they would wanna change nicknames and catchphrases all the time, and I miss them negotiating with you for stuff in your inventory!
#yeah the gamecube version was CONSTANT delivering shit and i do kind of miss it#there's a nook miles achievement for doing tasks for villagers#I've been playing since release and talking to all villagers every day and I've done like........ 3#and i haven't even had one ask me to change their catchphrase#:(#acnh

I'm so scared to start decorating my island because I just don't want to mess up. I think I would disappointing myself. That I'm not good enough. I know that I could change it anytime I want but I don't want to waste my time. And all your beautiful islands inspire me soo much but it makes me feel so sad at the same time. I'm not telling you that to get attention or whatever. I want to reach out to those who are feeling the same way. So listen:
It's okay! You can let go. Try to leave that feeling. You don't have to impress anyone, not even yourself. It's okay. Let that feeling fade away. Just start somewhere. Start with your favorite place. Plant some flowers. Place a radio next to you which plays your fav. K.K. Slider song. Decorate that place with your favorite furniture. Take some pictures. See? It looks beautiful. You did good! I am proud of you! And you should be too. Because you didn't waste your time. You've created a beautiful place and distracted yourself from your problems by beeing creative. like they’ll walk around and try to catch bugs or just walk around and look at butterflies, they’ll water flowers, they wear clothing you give them, if they give you clothing and you put it on they’ll notice??? if they are singing and you place a microphone near it they will walk up to the microphone???? they will talk about stuff they’re standing next to?? NO TUTORIAL DIALOUGE 6 MONTHS INTO THE GAME??????????????

i love the quiet de-gendering of animal crossing. you can change your gender at any time and it does pretty much nothing. it’s not even called gender, it’s just called style. the villager dialogue boxes arent color-coded blue and pink anymore. shopkeepers dont comment if you buy the “wrong” gender of clothing like they did before. your character’s pronouns are rarely used, maybe not used at all? it’s great
