Valerius definitely has an ego on the bigger side (or at least his persona is) and so someone who is MUCH more powerful and older definitely hits him harder than he expects.

Like, he'll probably be a bit ruder or quiet around you it just depends on how you react.

If you're more of a quieter person or you won't really stand up if he's mean he'll definitely get snide with you.

But if you're more of the type to call him out he is SILENT.

After all he was raised with the value to respect his elders and technically you're his elder, so..

Vlastomil🐛:

He is SO impressed.

Okay no, he's not, he doesn't like it.

He'll definitely act nice, he'll act polite, but he HATES that someone might be better than him in any way.

He's so bitter about it, he'll probably try and do some digging on you and see if he's better than you, power wise.

And if he's not, he's totally going to throw a fit about it.

Honestl, he might send some of his worms on your things to eat them, since his cute little work babies can eat through the steel.

You obviously think you're better than them, you must be flaunting it, you're mocking them and they KNOW it.

Trains super hard for months and does many things that show off their strength.

um she doesn't quite care.

Might be afraid of you? But that's about it.

She dosent try to make any waves and she tries to stay relatively quiet amongst the court so she dosent think you'll even notice her.

but if you do BSHSHS she might just panic a little bit.

Will probably attempt to make friends with you, though! Offers you desserts in court and suggests you two catch a play at the theatre frequently

BEHSHSHSHD you're speaking my language I cannot tell you the amount of times I have listened to that song and done little Valdemar animatics in my head (the autism is kicking in! It's spreading!!) And yes yes okay I think that would be very cute!!

Valdemar peeks over at their desk. Parchment? Parchment. That is not the parchment they use to wrap their experiments. So, that begs the question, what could it be? It could certainly be something that Doctor 069 could have left by accident. Or it could be something very dangerous. With no hesitance, Valdemar reaches out, unwraps the parchment. Oh. There are bones in there. Bones? Valdemar loves bones. They can feel their tense shoulders perk up, the sharpness of their face soften just slightly around the edges of their eyes. They know who this is from, certainly.

Valdemar carefully wraps the bones back up and places it next to some jars of previous experiments. The demon feels a softness in their shoulders, their eyes, even in the relatively human organs that stir in their chest. How strange. But they don't question it. After all, they have many experiments to perform. And they have some new bones to analyze, as well. The thought of it makes Valdemar's fingers twitch repeatedly with excitement.

Valdemar finds another wrapped item a few days later. Oh? Valdemar rushes over to the parchment, practically rips it open on account of the overeager twitching of their fingers. How delightful. Whatever is wrapped in the parchment is bloody and smells of death. Just as they like it. Delight presses into Valdemar's brittle bones, rushes into their fingertips in the form of excited fluttering. Surely, they will have to thank the apprentice that they know gifts them such thoughtful, sweet things.

While Valdemar is not quite the most socially adept person, they know of the basics of not only friendship, but also courting. And they are an expert in that of etiquette and manners-- if that was not already clear from the way they carried themselves (in their opinion, they carried themselves quite perfectly). So in thanks, Valdemar wraps a gift of their own. Their own parchment is made to wrap up experiments, so it doesn't crack and rip as they tie it together with twine. As they creep from the dungeons to the apprentices room, they open the door without knocking. Perfect. Nobody. They close the door behind them like they belong in the room (they do), and place the parchment onto the apprentices bed.

Ugh.

The sheets are not ironed.

They'll make sure to correct that ever so annoying detail, once they become more acquainted with the delightful apprentice. But they hear footsteps, so they hurriedly rush out of the wind, out of the room, lest they want to appear creepier than they are. But they know they'll be back. And not just to iron the sheets. When they glance into the apprentices window and hear the excited gasp when their gift of an ivory, gold laced skull is unwrapped, they know they'll be back.

They want to become more adept at social situations, after all. Especially if it involves that apprentice.

SPOILER LUCIO REVERSED ENDING

Lucio's reversed ending is lowkey hilarious. Imagine being Valdemar, not feeling fear for the last 2000 years, and then this random magician smacks you down SO HARD your fear sensor *starts working again*.

And then 30 minutes later you find out that this magician is your new boss for eternity.

Valdemar is NOT having a good day

NSJSJWWJB NO STOP CUZ THAT WOULD BE HORRIBLE. I know that would DEFINITELY break down Valdemar's ego lolz. Especially since in their eyes they're probably, like, 'old as time itself, fearful monster, the things that your gods fear', all that monologue stuff 😭

OOH such a good ask yes ofc!!

Valerius🍷: okay okay I think he would definitely want someone patient because he's kind of a snob bitch (affectionately).

I think his type personality wise would be, like, someone that's kind and caring, because those are things he values in a partner.

(despite him literally being, like, a demon thing)

I think he would kind of want someone who's enthusiastic about things so that he and then can experience things together.

Also he would definitely want someone who's not used to being spoiled so that he can spoil them.

I think that like someone who's patient but also sassy or like not afraid to talk some sense into him sometimes, cause, as I said before, he can be a snob little bitch (affectionately guys I love him).

Vlastomil🐛:

Omg his type is definitely a quiet person, or, like a bookworm.

He enjoys quiet things like tea and books and would prefer if his partner shared part of his interests or something similar.

But ofc ofc he's not a picky man so he's not going to run up his nose at anyone who's not his exact type because he's a gentleman, obviously.

Speaking of gentleman, he'd like someone romantic or kind of old fashioned maybe because that's also how he is.

I think someone who's on the more introverted side would be a better match for him, since he's a more extroverted person so it would kind of balance him and his partner out.

Oh and he'd also probably like a partner that's some form of passionate about something especially if it's something artistic because he loves passion.

They'd like to have a kind and honest partner because those two things are very important to them, especially the honest bit.

They'd also want some loyal, because that's also a trait that matters to them.

They'd also prefer someone that either likes their morbid interests or at least tolerates them, but ideally someone who cares enough for them to listen to hours of their scientific theory rants.

They also have a thing for spoiling their partners they can't resist it so they'd definitely like a partner who they can spoil a lot.

I think their ideal significant other is definitely someone kind/honest which are some of the traits that they'd want their partner to have

Her type I think is someone that's artistic because she loves art and probably outgoing, too.

Her ideal partner is also probably a very extroverted person because she's like to take her partner out on lots of dates.

She's also the type of person to be more attracted to very giving/generous people, or just very kind people in general.

She LOVES talkative people because she'll either happily listen or talk and talk with them, which she likes to do as a bonding thing.

I think her ideal match would be a kind and caring person, as she is very caring and thoughtful herself.

They think it's so adorable when their partner goes on and on about something or just in general talks to them a lot.

This is so creative, yeah, I'll do it! I'm alright. Sorry writing has taken me longer 😭 I'm trying to make it higher quality for y'all to enjoy<33 thank all of yall for the requests!

Valerius🍷:

Oh gods, he's a mess.

He's already kind of a drinker but he DEFINITELY is drinking much more the first few weeks you fall into a coma.

Then he realizes that like, he definitely can't do that, what if you wake up and see him a drunken mess?

But then he realizes that you waking up is an if, and he drinks more.

He only stops when there happens to be a coincidental shortage of all spirits and all of the sort, and everything kind of clicks into place for him.

He has definite faith that you're going to wake up, and barely leaves your side.

He's a politician and as such, has countless meetings and scheduled appearances and things like that.

He ignores every one.

He'll make sure to take care of you in your coma, constantly checking your pulse, you're temperature, your breath. He even pays hundreds of physicians to try and help you, but none can find the answer. So he just stays with you and hopes.

He feels like a creep, always sitting with you, but he knows you're his lover and he'll stay with you for as long as it takes until you wake up.

He has so many dreams of you that when you finally awake, his first thought is he's dreaming. His hands reach out for you, though, instinctively, and when he touches your skin and sees your eyes he knows it's not a dream and bursts into tears immediately.

He'll definitely call your wake a miracle and will choke out prayers for the first time in years as he holds you.

Vlastomil🐛:

Valerius might numb the pain he feels with wine, but Vlastomil doesn't engage in such disgusting alcohol for his body.

The first few weeks he's anxiously jumping everytime he thinks he sees your breath sputter or pause, and is quick to check your breath and heartbeat.

He's desperate, and tries to read every book for anything he can find about your coma. He calls doctors, magicians, curse breakers, everyone, but he cant find anyone to help.

When the first month of your coma happens, he takes up smoking again.

But not just any type of smoking, no. When he was younger he would go for a cigar every now and then, but in the event of your coma he smokes two packs of simply cigarettes, right in a row, and when his chest wheezes, he only feels numb.

He never smokes in your room, he always smokes on the balcony, as he's too afraid that the smoke will hurt you.

After around a week of chain-smoking, he finally just quits. There's no point, as it barely calms him down. But he still shakes for cigarettes, for your awakening, so he drinks cup after cup of tea.

He finds it hard just to make one cup, when he's become so accustomed to making two.

You awake as his tea water is boiling, but he hears the slightest shift from your room and runs in so quickly that he knocks the pot clean off the stove.

He bursts into immediate, relieved tears when he sees you're finally awake, and embraces you as he falls to his knees, unable to even get out how he missed you so.

Valdemar💉:

They don't need anyone else's help.

You're the love of their life, they will be the one to care for you. They needn't any other doctor, any other magician, any of their assistants, nothing.

They practically dote on you, wait on you as if it is their life's duty. And as far as they're concerned, it is now, because they have abandoned their work and left it to collect dust in the dungeons.

They even leave their beloved beetles to Julian to take care of, for the are bugs and their pride and joy, yes, but you are the one person that softens them, their beloved, someone who they are certain is their soulmate.

They grow frustrated after months and months. They're a doctor, a scientist, a genius, dammit, and they can't figure out what's wrong.

They consider making another deal for your consciousness. But no. They will not sacrifice what's left of them another time. They will not rope you into their own mistakes. They will not give the devil what he wants.

They're transformed in the months of your coma. Their bandages are either dreadfully tight or messily loose, no in between, and their already gaunt body has turned thinner with the stress.

They are in a state of always checking your pulse, always stroking your hair, always whispering to the sun and moon their love for you, their pleas for you to return.

They move you often from not just laying but sitting positions so that when you awake you have no aches. For you will wake up. You will wake up or they will go with you.

And when you finally wake up, they can barely even speak. They can't speak. You have taken their work, their motivation, their remaining care for the beetles. They simply can't do it without you. And they drop to their knees in front of you, reaching for the pulse on your wrist, to feel it.

They feel a steady beat, rather than the slow, sleepy one that had plagued you in your coma. And they slump in relief, smile, kiss you with their mask on in their rush. You're back.

Volta🍰:

She just thinks you're really tired, at first. Then you're sleeping two days in a row and she is quite worried. She thinks you might be drunk or injured, but the alcohol cabinet is the way she left it and your body is relaxed with that of sleep, not slow death.

She's of course, an anxious mess. Usually, she simply cries when stressed, but she finds herself so worried that her tears turn into yelling. She screams at every doctor that doesn't know what to do with you until soon no more doctors will come and assess the situation.

She's so worried for you, that you'll die, and for a few days she ends up sleeping next to you, sobbing softly and praying to whoever will listen that she wants you to be fine when she wakes up. And after a few days she knows it's pointless.

She does her best to keep you comfortable, always adjusting your blankets to make sure your temperature is fine, carefully brushing your hair, trying to rouse you by lighting the incense.

She also tries to keep calm. She feels as though she is a doll that is splitting at the seams, and so she tries to engage in her hobby of baking, but when she finally finishes a cake and realizes you won't see it she collapses in the kitchen in grief.

She tries other hobbies.

Sewing is the only one she can handle, as she can be in the same room with you and sew you things for when you wake up. If you wake up. When you wake up.

She falls asleep with her needle and thread in her hand countless times and one day when she wakes, you're rubbing your eyes and sitting up.

Volta finds herself frozen for a long moment. Then she leaps over to you, wraps her arms around your shoulders and finally, she can cry and hold you with relief.

Vulgora⚔️:

They're usually very angry.

Usually.

But when they realize you're not sleeping, you're in a coma, they find themself a sudden, broken shell of their warrior spirit.

They try to reason with themself. They have won countless wars. They have killed thousands. They have seen countries rise and fall, and will continue to. But seeing you like this has made them weak.

You are their only weakness, and as such, they protect you with their life. Nobody hears of you or them, and they are constantly by your side, brushing back your hair and feeling for your heartbeat.

They rarely leave your side and as such, lose weight from how little they eat, in fear of leaving you and coming back to you hurt or.. Worse.

Their muscles are in a constant state of tense or shaking, and they find their strength has somehow left with your beautiful laugh and eyes. When they try to grab their sword, they crumble beneath their own very weapon that has slain all who faced them.

When you awake though, they suddenly stop shaking. Their muscles are hard with shock. And then they relax. And they collapse next to you, reach out for you, sighing of how relieved they are to see you awake, finally.

He has no end of adorable nicknames for you, as he's nearly six foot, and will call you thinks like, "שורטי" or "tiny" just to mess with you.

Will definitely do that thing where he'll just slowly start leaning until he's using your head as an armrest as he smirks down at you.

Will purposely not lean down to kiss you and be like oh no?? Are you not tall enough?? Before he starts laughing his ass off.

Will like, manspread by grabbing onto the tops of doorways just to flex that he's taller lol.

Thinks it's cute.

He's around six foot but probably will only tease you about your height sometimes.

After all, he does think it's very cute and he doesn't want you to be insecure about it.

He'll always lean down to give you a kiss, or pick you up if you'd prefer that.
