Quick Cover: Elefanten & Sparven, by Håkan Hellström
Hello! Is this place abandoned? Can’t remember the last time I was properly on here and it looks pretty empty, so this is now my dumping ground! Again!
I haven’t covered anything in years and I missed it! It’s good practice, and a fun way to come to terms with the imperfections of a performance. I slapped this together in a couple of hours but I took maybe a bit too long toying with a few synth parts... that I told myself I wouldn’t toy with too much. Feat. me slapping my thicc thighs during the instrumental break for percussion, and me genderbending my voice for one phrase. You can tell that I broke one of the strings of my guitar and replaced it with one that’s a very different gauge than the rest and it sounds quacky as FUCK lmao. I want to try to get used to working quickly and learning to use my tools a little better, so I’ll probably do more of these.
Håkan Hellström is one of those artists that I’ve loved for years but hardly ever get to talk about with anyone. He’s this Swedish songwriter who writes very very uplifting music. More often than not I will get a lump in my throat listening to a song of his called Du Är Snart Där. He has a very peculiar voice that makes me feel a little less self conscious about my own; it’s one of those things I’m not happy with about my music, but Håkan makes me feel like my music can still reach people even if I’m not a conventionally great singer.

New Song: Insaciable, by Lebrija
Hey everybody! It's been a while since I've shown up around here. I think I'm going to share a bit about what's been going on in my life in a later post, but for now I've got some music-related news that I'm very excited about!
I don't know if any of you remembers, a few years ago I mentioned I was working with LEBRIJA, a friend's band where I'm an engineer/mixer/producer. We just came out with a new song!
It's called Insaciable, and I'm super proud of it. I think the work I did on the song's bass melody is one of my favourite things I've done. You can find it on Youtube and Spotify! We'd be delighted if you could help us share it with people who you think might enjoy it~
