alrighty so, i went back to work today after three days off and because apparently no one can do my job, all my work has been left for me - which means i’m going to be slower at replies for probably a few days. i can’t even work on drafts at work im that busy. fingers crossed within the next couple of weeks i’ll have a new job and will have a lot more time. but i hope you’ll all understand and not mind so much. i’m not going on a hiatus or anything - i’ll just be slower. thanks for understanding! i’ve been slow the last few days anyway. this also goes for onwxtchlast and andnostiles .

just another let down

Chewing her lip, Melissa checked her phone again and shook her head. Family dinner was a disaster. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Melissa watched as Scott walked by her saying he needed to go and see Derek about something and she just nodded her head. "Just be careful." Knowing that he always was, she went back to finishing cleaning the dishes, Raf's plate still in the oven, ready to be heated when he got back. After that, Melissa just decided to change into some sweatpants and a t-shirt before heading back downstairs to sit down on the sofa.

Tivo would take her mind off it.

Melissa wasn't clear how long it had been, and she was pretty sure she'd dozed ever so slightly but soon a door opening roused her and she saw Rafe come in. Melissa turned the volume down and stood up, pointing to the kitchen, "The family dinner you didn't show up for was nice. Our son left to stay at Stiles's. Dinner is in the oven waiting to be warmed up."

And with that she turned the volume of the TV up and sat back on the sofa, pulling her feet up under her as if the conversation was over. She was still mad.

"Okay you didn't but...wow, it's totally a mom thing. I say it to Scott all the time. I just mom-ed you." Melissa made a face and smiled before nodding her head at him, "Well, i guess after....the masked guys, you need a quiet day. John said you were great." She praised with a smile. "Actually, no. John and Stiles are coming over for dinner on Sunday and ..I know you don't know many people in town and i wondered if you wanted to come?"

”I am pretty sure I never said that before in my life, but thank you. That’s incredibly nice of you.” James sighed, reaching out for the offered beverage with a small shrug. “Fine, I suppose. Not much going on today. Are you looking for the sheriff?”

grocery shopping, sometimes she bought so much stuff that she could actually do with werewolf strength herself. Rolling her eyes, Melissa got the rest of the bags out and then closed the trunk of the car and then of course she dropped a bag. Letting out a frustrated, tired noise, Melissa bent down to pick it up, only to jump when she stood up and lean against the car as she saw Derek. "Please....please stop doing that." She said as she caught her breath. "Are you looking for Scott? He's not here."
