what matters most about your interests is that they make you happy. whether other people find them productive is irrelevant. you don't have to produce anything. you are not a machine. your interests aren't for others. your interests are for you. do what makes you happy.

i think more queer people should just be casually visible in the day to day life.

whether its hearing a gay person talk about ‘xyz is so cute’ without being terrified. trans people who have a binder strap showing and dont care. a trans woman, casually complaining about how long it took to get to the pharmacy to get her hrt. polyamory couples being publicly affectionate. aro people who make jokes about their sexuallity. pride pins on shirts. nonbinary person wearing a pronoun pin in public. just... queer people existing shamelessly.

⚠️ i was just let go from my job for being absent for a week — i was absent healing from multiple dislocations sustained on my commute. i have a new job starting feb 17 but we need help making rent & bills before that.

🌈 my household is bisexual, polyamorous, and 2 of the 3 of us are disabled. we were counting on my paycheque to pay rent, but i was nearly knocked onto to electrified subway traintracks, dislocating several ribs and my collarbone in the fall. i could not keep going in to work without letting it heal. as i was still in the probationary period, i was let go.

yeah yeah yeah percy and annabeth deserve to go to college and live peaceful lives and I guess New Rome accomplishes that but maybe just maybe I LIKE the idea of wacky demigod hijinks that come with them living in the mortal world hmmm??? maybe I can APPRECIATE the comedic potential of them having to juggle demigod responsibilities while going to college in New York?? Like come on, they’re seasoned fighters, a random monster isn’t going to take them out, let Annabeth go to her dream college that will give her merit in the mortal world as an architect and if the trade off is that she has to occasionally excuse herself from her classes to quietly deal with an empousa out in the hall, well then so be it. Let Percy get to go to a college in his city, near his mom, and sure he might have to consider whether his chem professor is a monster from hell or like, an actual monster from hell, but then again who doesn’t??
