Summary: Y/n is in a loveless marriage, married to a man who refuses to love her. Will Simon give in to his desires? Or will he shut you out like everyone else?
Ever since you were a child, you dreamt of the fairytale wedding, A nobleman who loves you so much it hurts to breathe. Running around with the children while he manages the kingdom. You were 18 when you learned about what is real and fiction. Soon finding yourself in a loveless marriage with a cruel king. Simon was a man of little words and when he did speak to you it was hateful. "You shouldn't be wandering around the castle by yourself, It's idiotic." His voice echoed in your ears. He never yelled he just.... projected his voice. "I got bored of waiting for your meeting to be over, so we can go to bed." Simon scoffed rolling his eyes "You shouldn't have waited on me, love" You nodded frowning to yourself at the message. His boots hit the floor thundering on the ground hard. You pass around a little bit more before retiring for the night walking in the room. Seeing a sleeping figure in your bed. Smiling to yourself you cuddle up next to him and fall asleep.
The next morning, you woke up to an empty bed, No sight of Simon other than the lingering smell of his cologne. After getting dressed you head to breakfast seeing Simon waiting for you " I wish you wouldn't leave so early in the morning." you smile at him from across the table he looks at you before going back to his breakfast ignoring your comment. Later in the day, you decide to go riding. Saddling up before taking off. The ride was peaceful, the summertime at the palace was a wonder. Ponds glistened in the morning light. The sound of deer prancing through the woods. It was a sight to see and you intended to take it all in. No Simon, no demanding servants, just you and nature. Until everything went black.
Waking up with a splitting headache wasn't what you were expecting. two men stand in front of you. seemingly waiting for you to wake up.
"Shouldn't have went riding by yourself, My Queen, Dangers lurk in these woods"
