I'm Alessia, most people call me Bess. I have many nick names, you'll learn that. Most people don't even know my real name, but if you can't pronounce it properly, it's probably best we leave it that way. My surname is Porcaro, and I can neither confirm nor deny that I COULD be related to Mike, Steve and Jeff Porcaro from the band Toto, but there's a slight possibility considering us Porcaro's are a rare breed.
I live in Melbourne, Australia. I've traveled the World, but Melbourne will always be my home. It's the perfect place for me, it has my heart. Yet, my home away from home would have to be Rome, Italy. I'm 29, but 16 at heart, with the mental capability of a 40 year old. I can be wise, but I can also be cheeky.
I like to surround myself with amazing people. I settle for nothing less.
I am a good person. I am a bad influence.
My moto: Life is a musical. Sing it.
The things I love the most in the world are my Family, Friends, Music, Movies, Musicals, and Comedy (Comedy Festival/Fringe Festival season is better than Christmas) - without these things I'm fairly certain I'd lose my mind even more than I already have.

I like blogs that mix it up a bit, have a bit of everything, and throw in some good reads every now and then. For me, my blog is like a personal diary slash scrap book. I write down thoughts, things that have happened to me, things that make me laugh, opinions, quotes, share videos and links that I think should get some recognition, and other bits and pieces of stuff that has influenced me over the years.
I don’t really expect that anyone actually reads a lot of my dribblings, or pays attention to the rand...

Oats! Happy Birthday to one of my oldest friends... when I say "oldest friends", I mean our Origin Story started waaayyyy back in the Switch and Goo days, where Oats was the guy with the bandanna, and the mate with the spikey hair. And I was the chick in the Dickies shorts, and band tee who carried a Goon Bag everywhere she went. But years went on, we parted, we grew, in some cases we turned into Grandpas *cough OATS cough*, and our paths crossed again... they kept crossing until one day, we all became The Golden Girls, and now you're stuck with me for life. Now that it's past midnight, I can send big Happy Birthday wishes to this guy. A bit over a year ago, myself and Sam decided to go to Bang! and dance like no one was watching; we did just that. But apparently our super sweet dance moves caught the attention of a group of lovely young lads. I am forever grateful that I was able to tear myself away from the dancefloor for long enough to actually stop and have a conversation, because I met one of my best friends that night. It's been a big journey of ups and downs, but no matter what, you've always been there for me. You've seen me through the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. You've quite literally been a shoulder to cry on, you've listened to me ramble no matter what time of day or night, you've been a dance buddy, and an adventure partner. I've lost count of the times I've just needed an ear to chew off, and you've listened, no matter how ridiculous it seems. I don't remember a time when I didn't have you to turn to, even if it just meant keeping each other company on a school night. You mean a lot more to a lot of people than you give yourself credit for. The silliest of Dyl's in all the land, but I love you, and I'm lucky to have you as a best friend. Tonight I made a family dinner for my favourites, with help from my kitchen hand Dylan. It's been a big weekend of celebrations all 'round, but before the day is out, I need to send some big Happy 60th Birthday wishes to my mum. After a beautiful weekend of perfect celebrations, that completely summed up the wonderful lady that she is, I will try and put into words how loved and admired my mother is. Messages from all over the world came flowing through when we put the word out that we were cutting together a birthday message video to show at her intimate dinner with her closest friends and family. Just a small token of the lives she has touched, which followed from her speech that consisted of her going through her friends one by one and sharing how each one of them touched her life - that is the kind of person my mother is. A person who is made up of all the wonderful people around her, who she admires as much as they admire her. Happy Birthday, mum.
