For $8 this is a worthwhile set. It Missed things most of the time but that makes it better. Who could these mystery men be? Righard Yungs? NNNNwil what? It's one of those happy sets that makes me love the messy underbelly.

Thomas Bush - Same Life Flowed

I was cleaning out a small greenhouse today and listened to this album twice in a row. I was bagging straw, breathing dust, and sweating through my gorgeous white t. Prior to this i was drinking coffee with two of the most extroverted people i talk with ever, after a winter of mainly being alone in a room.

Two friendly but buzzing bees in either ear. Panic attack ensues, put this record on my earbuds, and everything slowed down and got a bit less panicky. Like a shoulder-drop technique.

This album is a beautiful classic.

Gabrielle Losoncy

I suppose i had a period where in some bizarre way, i was an actual Gabi Losoncy fan-boy. Similarly to how i am while listening/reading Lucy Liyou, Graham Lambkin, Diane di Prima, Yeah You, Jose Saramago, Lydia Lunch, rambling voicemails from friends, audio journals, etc. I've made a point of hearing a bunch of her art, namely, 16f, Didn't Take Much, HH, I Can Be Convinced, Security Besides Love, and a 4cdr thing. There are others. One of the things i love about her recordings is that I've heard each album multiple times but i can barely distinguish between each. I do less thinking about listening while preemptively thinking about how i should have thought about it differently. You know?

Most recently i listened to a single track self-released project called "Lieutenant." A very active sixteen minutes of muffled friction. It's out there somewhere..

Normal Nada the Krakmaxter - Pika Chu

Fire. This belongs on all the playlists. 

I'm a few Werner Durand albums deep for the evening - this particular piece somehow presents as so much of the best Indian classic music. On purpose? A 17 minute call to sleep or meditation before three more similarly extended who knows what. When money stops feeling so oppressive, this is a double LP i would throw my labour around to own.

Been thinking about the Young [being used as an example] Thug rico case. And also the extent to which RICO cases pose as 'proper' police work but effectively just serve to tear communities apart. Communities that have already fallen into the shit. ACAB. Even this one cop i smiled at the other day who was doing an awesome job of directing car and pedestrian traffic at a intersection without power. I respect those skills. Still.... ACAB. Thousands of years ago, I worked at a cigarette / newspaper /magazine store. Shoved a mountain of TV guides into the Saturday editions at like 4am or whatever. This tape was an always listen. How can a kid like this end up being torn to shreds in some privately-owned prison? America is brutal. The modern structure is fucking broken. These songs though. Fucking magic.

Hot damn sometimes i have days where i forget how to breath properly and anxiety turns into an actual thing and i get lost in my legit fucked brain and then i hear a song like this one and i get all up in the feels and ugh oxygen is useful.

Palace Music - Old Jerusalem

Over the years i've gotten better at a few things but have a longer track record of regression. Over-thinking is one of the largest back steps i think. Lately, i sit up nights, terrified of all the real people who are so unabashedly hateful/self-serving. The word "genocide" comes up too many dozens of times every day. And it's harder to find distractions or comfort in most media. Going back to all the early Will Oldham records is one way i stop thinking for a few minutes. This song, off of Viva Last Blues is possibly underrated, or maybe i just haven't seen it on any of the subsequent Palace collections. I haven't bothered trying to interpret the religiosity over the last 25 years. Why bother with that? It just hangs in the air and fills a room if you want it to.

A monster of a song. I love how much things move around even while there is that constant flat-line. Deathprod, Felicia Atkinson and Arve Henriksen spring to mind. Really gorgeous.
