Moribund will have a customizable trigger warning option, due to the very dark and triggering themes present throughout the game. (the main character has psychosis for goodness sake) There will be the ability to choose what needs warned about or immediately censored. (with or without a summary of what was censored, maybe even a less triggering summary)

For example, one could chose to put trigger warnings for themes of suicide. These trigger warnings would alert the player “The following scene/level/area will have themes of suicide. What would you like to do?” and there would be the option to continue, skip it with a detailed summary, skip it with a friendlier summary, or skip it with no summary at all.

There would also be the option to have this happen automatically for any specific trigger, so no trigger warning would show up, the scene would simply be skipped with or without any summary, depending on what the player chose. The acknowledgment of the trigger would show up after the scene is skipped; (“The previous level/area/scene was skipped due to the following triggers in your accessibility settings: [insert trigger here]. What would you like to do?” Then you’d be able to hear any kind of summary, then you could go back and play the level if you wanted.

These trigger options would be accessible on the main menu and the pause menu. I’m thinking of allowing the player to play a level, just with the triggering topics cut out, so like, if there was a platforming part that had, like, nooses in the background, they could chose to...not have the nooses.
