THE MAN IS DOUSED IN THE SCENT OF MAGIC, PERVASIVE LIKE GASOLINE. it is hard to ignore, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚔𝚕𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚑𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚒𝚛'𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚜𝚎— jack finding himself glancing sideways towards the other man occasionally ; the sluggish beat of his half-dead heart, curious now in it's upbeat pattern. though only familiar with magic for a couple of decades compared to the many more he has already lived, the blond recognizes it almost immediately. it is unique and sharp, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚊𝚕𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚊𝚕𝚠𝚊𝚢𝚜 𝚍𝚒𝚏𝚏𝚎𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚝 from witch to witch, sorcerer to sorcerer, and so on and so forth. this man smells of graveyard dirt, and the lost souls within— like a november fire. jack cocks his head now, more obvious in his staring than before. intentionally. and speaks :
