The scope of this story is very...big. Not really though, there is a lot of characters to focus with the scope of this story. It's very wide in the middle, and I dunno maybe I should cut that down and place some of the characters elsewhere. In a different story, perhaps in the same world sometime after this one? Like, love these guys but some of em would work so much better in a story on a grander scale with more action. They each have their own thing going on, but some of it feels so far detached from what the mc has going on. The mc is kinda grounded as far as things go I think, then there's Asrani who's got Asrani things going on. Which are kinda political, but also that mf is building nukes in the background and that really is of little help or concern to mc. I mean safety reasons yes, plot not so much.

I could make myself story "bigger", more than icicle on political house arrest solving 'the mystery', but I think that'd lead to a genre shift. Is it really court intruige if you are not at least in the court? Right now it's like interconnected trees rather than branches on one story, disconnected perhaps.

I dunno though, maybe I'm overthinking things to distract myself from actual responsibilities again.

Just here to expressly say I am in fact working on this still, slow as molasses but still at it. But I'm graduating at the end of this semester, fingers crossed, so my attention is mostly on my classes these past few months. There's a bunch of little changes and a potentially huge change being made behind the scenes, but instead of listing things out we'll just wait until the demo to see. Mainly so I don't feel beholden to anything I put out. I'll need to put out a new intro post regardless, so no rush.

Fantasy ages make my head hurt, I've been considering aging up the cast cause the avg 'human' life span is 120-150 and then adjust because the has different life expectancies due to heritage n magic nonsense. Gave myself a headache, so those are staying right where they are until further notice.
