do you think davenport has a normal everyday outside of work scenario with his wife or do you think there's some uncanny valley idealized 60's family sitcom shit going on over there. both ideas are appealing to me:

the idea of him just being able to put aside all the suffering he causes to live an outwardly normal person because for him it's just his job, as a metaphor for some irl company higher-up.

vs the idea of his at-home life being as dry and pristinely idyllic as staring at a clean lineoleum countertop to the point where it almost drives him to do more fucked up shit at his job because that actually means something

Thank you so much :'). I do not have sufficient skills to tell you how much you saying "you have no obligation to post" means - one of the reasons I do not post is because I feel like I HAVE to. Anyone who has ever been trapped in this paradox knows how hard it is to escape.

goes insane about the fact that nicholas waters spends the whole ritual being shaped into his father….micheal isn’t able to take over his body but at the end of the day we are left with a man who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. kill the man attempting to possess you who you’ve spent your life distancing yourself from and in doing so you shall become him

- static man's first name is arthur, his last name is unknown

- his quest to regain physical form could be seen as a parallel to king arthur's status as the "once and future king" - essentially, he is destined to live again

- nicholas is referred to as the sorcerer, leading some to believe he is intended as the merlin to static man's king arthur

- melody's last name is pendras, a fairly uncommon name that may come from the welsh root "pen" meaning "head" or "leader".

- the addition of "dra-" to this root is suggestive of "pendragon", a surname often given to king arthur

- the specifics of static man's ...statification? are unknown, as is almost all information about his life beforehand. he seems to be about the same age as nicholas and chris, as he is shocked at nick's ignorance of childhood cultural touchstones he believes they should share.

- assuming season 3 takes place around 2017, and static man is roughly nick's age at the time (27), that would mean static man was born in the late 80's-early 90's

- melody was in her early 20's in 1994, and was estranged from her family

- hypothetically, melody could have had significantly younger sibling born after she cut off contact with her parents, and hypothetically, that sibling could have learned that he had an older sister who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and HYPOTHETICALLY, that sibling COULD have gotten into some weird magic shit to learn more about what happened to her...

i think people (and by people i mean me) need to draw dan's new body addition fleshier and weirder. i think it should have strands of moving muscle tissue rotating around reels of indescribable material to move his arm, like strings on a puppet.
