Summary:
Levi stared ahead, watching the opposite platform as the passing carriages shuttered the view, condensing the waiting crowd into nothing but a blur of lines and colours. It was dizzying, but Levi didn't have the energy to look away.
His train was now thirty three minutes behind schedule.
Levi was hot and tired and annoyed, and getting hotter and more tired and more annoyed by the second. He had already been dreading the overnight journey after a long and unusually insufferable day at work, and it was made infinitely worse by the overcrowding and the continued delays.
“We are sorry to inform you that the 22:40 LNER service to Aberdeen is delayed by appropriately fifty minutes. This is due to an incident on the line between Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed.”
Levi ran a hand over his face and groaned. All he wanted to do was get on the damn train. If he was lucky—which, given the days events so far, seemed unlikely—he might even find a seat and take a nap.
He was fantasising about this very prospect when Hange, before Levi knew her as Hange, made her entrance.

Summary: The captain and the commander both got turned into pandas. Crackfic, beware.
The moment the Paths take them back to the forest, Hange Zoe shifts in their spot and starts with a scream. There's a monster right beside them. They grab a rock in hand, ready to strike it down, until they realize that their own hand isn't really a hand.
More like a paw.
And the monster isn't really a monster, but rather, "...Levi?"
"What in the world--" Then it's Levi's turn to gasp when he sits up. "...Four-Eyes?"
He's not in pain, but he feels very, very... furry. He looks down and sees that he's just the same as Hange: his big round belly protruding from the blanket, hands now paws a bit too heavy for him to support while sitting up. God forbid he cranes over his shoulder to see that tiny stub of a tail right behind him. For some unknown reason, the two of them are now black, white, and also, fluffy.
The bear who seems to be Hange plops down right beside him and slams a hand--rather, paw--to their face. "What the hell did Eren do?"
Levi's mouth lets out something that resembles a groan. This isn't funny. They're in the middle of the war, in an open forest.
"Did that idiot just turn us into fucking bears?"
"Azumabito told me about these. They're called..." Hange tries to recollect the word. "Pandas."
He snorts. "Sweet, now all that's left is for us to climb the trees."
Hange proceeds on telling him how these pandas are abundant in Kiyomi's hometown, and how they feed on nothing but leaves. The information doesn't help one bit. How are they supposed to fight their enemies? Sit on them? Smash their heads in between their paws? Chew their innards raw?
But this Hange in front of him is still human, deep down inside. Well, sort of. Levi merely watches as they grab a bamboo stem and start chewing on it.
"What?"
Both of Hange's big, brown eyes are staring back at him, ears black and floppy, nose a little bit more pronounced.
"Nothing."
It's Hange, alright.
He kicks the blanket aside and proceeds to lay down on the grass. The tickling sensation feels comfortable.
"Don't tell me you're about to mark the territory with your scent," Hange teases him, but he only shoots back with a glare. The campfire is now dwindling into embers, leaving the cool air to breeze past them.
When Hange hands him a stalk, he can't help it.
So here they are, munching on bamboo shoots and leaves. Levi can feel his molars crushing and grinding the food in between his front paws. Being a panda isn't too bad at all.
Once they're done eating, Panda Hange settles right beside him, too close for his comfort. But the layers of fur in between them is keeping him warm, so this is nice. Levi tucks his paws beneath him, trying to act domestic and civilized, but Hange merely flumps into the pile of leaves, face first, their tiny fluff of a tail up in the air.
Within seconds, Hange starts snoring.
Maybe they should just live here together, after all.
P.S. I had to stop myself from giggling after Google-searching images of pandas falling asleep and rolling around in the ground

he misses hange - every day, every hour, every second he spends in this world.
he mourns for her too, and there are moments when the grief and the sadness become almost unbearable, suffocating him in their ironclad grip. there are moments when he feels like nothing truly matters now that she isn't there to share it with him, there are moments when he wants to howl and scream until his throat is raw, until the pain goes away.
but nature of the pain is simple and cruel - it never goes away, it subdues, it can be ignored, but until the source of it is dealt with, it will never truly go away.
however, most of the days, pain doesn't bother him. it's still there, his heart is still aching, but levi can ignore it, can almost forget about it. he was a soldier, and before that - a thug that tried to survive on the dark streets of the cold underworld, he knows how to bear the pain. he's a man who outlived all of his friends, he knows how to deal with a broken heart.
but hange's loss, it doesn't always feel like a loss, it doesn't make him wheeze with pain.
levi doesn't mourn for her, not constantly, most of the time he simply misses her. as though hange just left on an extended mission and he waits for her to come back. he doesn't feel sad when thinking about her, he just longs to see her again.
perhaps, it's his own mind protecting him, making him forget about her tragic end, or, perhaps the reason lies in the very nature of their relationship, in the absence of a real goodbye, in the "i'll see you, hange" and "watch over us". perhaps, that's why he feels like hange isn't really gone. she just left, but she will be back, when he least expects it.
she'll surprise him with a knock he knows so well, or she'll come without knocking, barrelling through the door, or, maybe she'll come flying through the window, like an absolute lunatic.
she'll come screeching from the top of her lungs, she'll be loud and boisterous and annoying and she'll cause him a hell of a migraine. she'll wrap her arms around him and refuse to let go, she'll suffocate him in her embrace, and then she'll pet his hair and caress his cheeks and embarrass him with a string of words, laced with affection.
in short, levi can't wait.
can't wait to see hange again, can't wait to scold and tease her, can't wait to force her to bath and call her a mess. levi can't wait to fall asleep with his head on her chest and can't wait to wake up to the sound of her snores.
he knows it's going to happen, maybe not today and not tomorrow, perhaps, not in this life, but hange will come back. after all, she isn't gone, she simply left. and levi, he doesn't grieve, he misses her.
he just has to wait, and she'll be back, and they'll be reunited once again.
levi just has to wait.

Hello! I don't know if you're taking prompts, but if you feel like it...can you draw Levi and Hange meeting again in ther afterlife, but Titanic Style (like when Rose and Jack meet again). Is this an excuse to see Hange looking beautiful with suspenders? Maybe, but at the same time I would love to see these two meeting again TT, since what they had was not a goodbye, but a see you later.
