Do you ever think, we'll get to live in a world, where one day there will be a final, glorious last time I say to myself, spit is not lube? I think we can all only hope to live in such a world.

I also just, look I do understand the idea that adults should have their own spaces free from children not only to keep adults protected but also to protect kids, but with that being said, do none of you remember being a kid? A teenager? Do none of realize that there isn't a magical age and number where someone becomes "an adult" and that society is inherently interconnected and that an 18 year old is sometimes barely different from a 17 year old, from a 19 year old, they're capable of conscious and well thought out decisions, that they're people and they don't just suddenly become "not annoying" and "someone worthy of being in your presence" because an arbitrary date on a calendar passed?

Like yes, children deserve to be protected but some of you seem to think what that means is you can keep children and teenagers in these shiny little bubbles where they don't experience anything in the world you don't think they should or don't want them to and that they'll hit a magical age where they are suddenly allowed to and then don't understand why they act like the sheltered beings you forced them into being.

Children are just mini people! Teenagers are capable and should be given levels of self autonomy!

Like, you live in a society, and I am including the internet on that because in this day and age yes it is another form of our society. I hate to break it to people, but you live in a society, and you don't just get to decide that an entire age group of people don't deserve to exist in it until you decide they're useful and comfortable for you to be around.

Mass censorship and surveillance aside some of you need to remember that children and teenagers are people too. It's really weird that so many people are comfortable boldly saying an entire group of people shouldn't be part of our society.
