Hacked (2016) aka The Den (2013) Review
Hacked (2016) aka The Den (2013) Review
I was looking to see if Netflix, Amazon or Sky had the film Creed on them but none of them did, I’d not used Amazon prime for a while so thought why not have a scroll through the horror section. There were quite a few films on there I’d not seen, I was hoping to find something short when I stumbled on Hacked. The premise was quite good at least to me, so I sat back and decided to give it a watch.

Halloween (2018) Review
So I’ve been away on my honeymoon and whilst over there in America we had a few hours to spare, so we thought why not go catch a movie? I must say the American audience in a cinema tends to react a lot more than us British do, sure we laugh when things are funny but that’s about it. Our American cousins seem to react to gory kills and stuff and are generally more engaged in the film. The film we…

Mandy (2018) Review
Who doesn’t love Nicolas Cage? Never has there been an actor who has produced so many rubbish films and, yet, so many good films, too. The guy will take a role in just about anything, but let’s face it — crazy Cage is the best Cage!

Venom (2018) Review
As soon as I saw a trailer featuring the words “we are Venom”, I was excited for the release of this film and I knew the missus and I would go to watch it as soon as we possibly could.
Then came the bad reviews from critics; like, terrible reviews. I searched the Venomhashtag on Twitter and, in typical fashion, found mostly positive comments from normal people who’d gone to see it. That brings…

Upgrade (2018) Review
Tumblr media
Needed something to watch the other week and noticed this was out so me and the Missus settled down to watch this revenge film. I’ve always loved a revenge film all they need is a reason, any reason at all and some violence and I’m happy. However with this being set in the near future where the world has taken on board advancements in technology to their own bodies I knew it was worth a look.

Summer of 84 (2018) Review
Summer of 84 (2018) Review
Lazy Sunday afternoon with a mystery/horror/serial killer film set in the 1980’s count me in! I didn’t know much about this film before watching it other than it’s setting and the fact that it was about a bunch of kids who believed their neighbour was a serial killer. However as soon as it started I got the feeling I was going to enjoy it.

30 Days of Night (2007) Review
30 Days of Night (2007) Review
With having a week off work I needed something to watch so as usual I loaded up Netflix to browse the horror films, nothing new really took my fancy. Then I saw 30 Days of Night I’d seen it before but only once not long after it was released. So I thought why not revisit it, from what little memories I have it was a half decent film at least.

Doppelgänger Graphic Novel Review
Doppelgänger Graphic Novel Review
As I’ve said in the past since starting this site I’ve received lots of offers to review indie films, short movies and books but the thing I love most is when the offer is there to read and review a graphic novel. Even better is when horror and comics combine, that’s why when I was offered a physical copy of Doppelgänger to review I couldn’t wait!

Little Evil (2017) Review
Little Evil (2017) Review
Netflix is always a good place to go for a film and they seem to be pumping out more and more Netflix originals. Little Evil was one I’d seen on there a few times but just skipped past without a second thought. Then a few weeks ago I took notice of the trailer and thought it may well be worth a watch, so when I was bored one day and looking for something to watch I thought why not give it a go,…

From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) Review
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) Review
Tumblr media
The kind people on Twitter voted this film above It Follows, Hellraiser 2 and Cabin in the Woods as the film I should re-watch and review. Needless to say I was pleased that this film won, so after work I sat down to watch this for the 521st time or somewhere close to. I watched this film so many times I could review it from memory, as a teen it was probably the coolest film I’d ever seen and it…

A Quiet Place (2018) Review
A Quiet Place (2018) Review
So now the World Cup has ended in heartbreak it’s time to focus back on the horror movies. It’s been a while since my last review mainly because it’s so incredibly time consuming watching three and a half football matches a day. Now however I’m back and after managing to catch a showing of A Quiet Place at the cinema in it’s dying weeks, I thought it’s a good place to start to get back into the…

I got asked to read and review this graphic novel and although it took me ages getting round to it I knew it would be a treat. Eat Locals (2017) Review
Eat Locals (2017) Review
Tumblr media
After watching Double Date the other week I fancied some more British horror comedy and luckily for me right next to it on Sky cinema was this one. The cast looked pretty decent, it even has Daredevil in it! The premise of some sort of vampire film was enough for me to give it a go. A Sunday afternoon spent watching British comedy horror is bordering perfection!

Chopping Mall (1986) Review (Also Known as Killbots)
Chopping Mall (1986) Review (Also Known as Killbots)
As soon as I saw the name and year of this film I had to watch it, it’s taken me a while to get round to watching it. I was browsing through Amazon Prime which I had to sign up to so I could watch the Final Destination films, when I saw this. I’d heard good things in the past and how could something with topless 80’s women and killer robots not be great fun?

Nails (2017) Review
I’m a big fan of Ross Noble’s free wheeling, for those unaware it’s a show on UK channel Dave where stand up comedian Ross Noble follows orders off Twitter. He basically riding around the UK meeting up with people who ask him to do stuff on his Twitter account, it’s amazing fun! I was gutted when I found out there wouldn’t be any more for the foreseeable future. I noticed that Ross Noble had…

Double Date (2017) Review
Double Date (2017) Review
I was looking for something to watch so decided to browse the films on Sky cinema. I saw this one and it sounded familiar then I remembered seeing Dexter Fletcher talking about it on some TV show. I’m always up for watching a British horror comedy and his brief involvement along with a couple of other cast members made me decide to give this one a go.

Annihilation (2018) Review
Tumblr media
I’d heard a lot about this film and it’s weird distribution deal which saw it get cinema release in US, Canada and I think China but everywhere else Netflix had it. I’d heard many mixed reviews as well it seems people either thought it was fantastic or garbage that considered itself far cleverer than it actually was. The cast was strong and after Thor Ragnarok I’d watch Tess Thompson in just…
