just checked my following count since i’ve seen some mutuals talk about noticeable unfollowing sprees. i was at almost 1,200 just a week ago and now i’m back down to 1,170- meaning almost thirty people have chosen to unfollow me because of my posts in regards to the genocide that is happening. palastinians have endured more than most of us will ever be able to fully comprehend. regardless of whether or not you want to admit it, you are incredibly privileged if your main concerns are whether or not your favorite fanfiction writers are still active/ruining the allusion and aesthetic of their blogs by shining light on this evil. shame on you for turning your back on all that is happening. just because you pretend that this isn’t happening doesn’t mean that it isn’t. silence is violence. your voice means something. even just reposting useful information is helpful at this point. do something, for the love of god.

respect the writers who have chosen to go on hiatuses as well as those who are choosing to step away from the fandom in its entirety. there are still a lot of blogs that will still post for tlou characters, but don’t be shocked when those same people use their platforms for good.

yes, the global strike for palestine is over. HOWEVER, there is another one taking place from february 18 to 25.

for what to do for the second strike, here’s a reminder:

if you didn’t hear about the first strike? okay. that’s fine. not everyone is always online. i hope that you’re still doing something in your own way to rectify that.

but this time? there really should be no excuse. you have weeks to prepare.

you have time to figure out how to get out of work or school (if you can).

you have time to prepare prior so you don’t buy anything while it’s going on and can help disrupt the economy.

you have time to spread the word and raise awareness to your friends, family, co-workers, etc.

To know that millions of people have their literal life spans, their movement, their access to water, when they can eat, what and how much they can eat, when and how often they can shower, how and where they sleep - to have it all be controlled and dictated for them while also, simultaneously, the mere idea of providing them with aid is "out of everyone's hands"?

There are fucking miles of aid trucks, filled with essentials, that are stopped right outside of Gaza at the Rafah border, while people inside of Gaza are freezing and starving and dreaming of clean water to drink. How does this not infuriate you?

hi everyone <3 ive made the decision to take a break from writing & regular posting about anything which doesn’t concern palestine for a while.

it saddens me to see people still posting about anything other than the genocide and ethnic cleansing currently happening in palestine during the strike and/or claiming they didn’t know anything about the strike as a whole (which i find very hard to believe).

and it’s so frustrating to see people who have much bigger blogs/platforms than me not using their platforms to spread awareness on what is happening in the world right now.

along with people shamelessly posting about buying the new tlou remastered and actively funding money towards a zionist, it just doesn’t feel right to use my own platform as anything other than a place to spread awareness for the people in gaza. im so, so thankful for my platform and will continue to use it to spread awareness and help in any way that i can.
