So, I'm watching The Magicians, and, I didn't wanna be so quick to say it - I mean I'm only in episode 5 but holy shit y'all, Quentin is autistic.
- He has a special interest (Fillory) and got really good at magic because he hyperfocused on it
- The way he kinda lacks in facial expressions, even when he's emotional?
- Champion of fidgeting, messing with his hair and flailing his hands around (specially when he's trying to talk)
- Champion of avoiding eye contact
- Only wears the same two, maybe three outfits, all which consists of similarly soft and comfy jackets
- The completely neurotypical way he likes to sit in chairs
(Also a big queer mood ngl)
- Also moves weirdly in other ways as well, like how he walks a bit hunched over sometimes
- Honestly, it's the way he talks that sold it for me. It's like he can barely get the words out through all the stuttering and "well, uhm"s, and he always does a little hand wave when he's having a hard time speaking. Not to mention his voice has this kinda monotone cadence to it.
I'm climbing aboard the aware train, as much as it hurts my heart.
And if he isn't aware, then he's trapped in some sort of limbo or hell situation in his mind
so like, do we think eliot is unconscious through all of this (like when alice was controlling quentin’s body and he was having black outs, or when OLU was taking people over momentarily in s3) or do we think he’s aware of what’s happening but unable to do anything about it (like when quentin was possessed by the lamprey)?
fave underrated quentin moment from season one: when penny corners him about using taylor swift to ward his mind and he just slowly slides away and hides behind a tree
Discord changed their TOS to disallow class-action lawsuits and enforce arbitration. It’s possible to opt out but you have to email them at [email protected] with the email you signed up with, within 30 days. The devs are spinning it as protection from frivolous suits, but in all likelihood it’s a precursor to a move toward selling your personal info like other social media sites.
