New discourse: it's actually predatory to date someone with a different star sign than you, because the differences in your personalities means you'll never be able to have exactly the same life experiences, thus leaving a knowledge and power gap between the two of you which will inevitably lead to an abusive relationship!
also if you're a Sag and you're dating a Taurus, that means you're secretly seeking a May-December relationship, which is age gap coded!
TIL Dr. Sigmund Freud was addicted to smoking and failed to quit for good throughout a 45 years long battle that included 33 operations for cancer of the jaw, an artificial jaw replacement, and attacks of “tobacco angina” exacerbated by nicotine . He was known to smoke up to twenty cigars a day.
Moreover, warhammer 40k lore is more important than in other fictions because it is not a story. It is a setting. The whole stuff is background for a board game, and every single book, description, or detail is as valid as the rest because it's all on the same level.
Additionally, said lore is actually huge. There is NO single person who has knowledge of everything in the setting. No single person can be considered a global authority on the matter.
Finally, Wh40k is so full of retcons it changed genre twice.
Tyranids, who are now a hive minded swarm looking to consume everything used to raid for slaves because they were concieved as a biopunk faction.
The T'au Empire was first presented as the Federation of Star Trek, with the same superior technology, (almost) perfect society, and positive outlook on the universe, just thrown in the 40k setting.
Leman Russ used to be a chapter master before being made a test tube baby from the Imperial Palace.
The canon of 40k is flimsy, ever changing, and depends heavily on who is writing at the moment.
This applies to warhammer as well (and I have been kind of guilty of it too).
There is this reverence for people who have been in the hobby for a long time that is just undeserved. So many of these guys act like they are loremasters just because they have read the same twelve memes over and over again for twenty years.
Im here for the lore, I looooove the stories. And I much rather talk to a noob who has the spirit and passion about 40k than the old bitter dude with nothing interesting to say.
So if you feel like you are a noob and dont really inow much, that is ok. The journey is so much more exciting then getting stuck in the mud and refusing to move :D
Tell me about something you recently found out about 40k, it doesnt matter if its new, just that it was new to you.
