If anyone was still wondering how fucking dead inside landlords are… I work for a property management company and a gentleman came in to pay rent yesterday, for one of my boss’ personal properties. After the interaction my boss comes out and asks me if the man seemed like he was in good health, I said, yeah he seemed fine. He is in his 70’s, but very mobile. She rolls her eyes and says “damn, I’m waiting for him to die. Hopefully soon because he’s paying peanuts in rent”. I was so fucking shocked, I just turned around and walked away. I couldn’t believe someone would say that out loud. They only look at tenants as a money bag and not real humans. It’s disgusting.

So in the latest "ban books!" controversy there's a picture book for pre-schoolers called "Grandad's Pride" the objection is that some of the illustrations of Pride involve men in leather
