If nothing else, the main takeaway from all this information Oliver has shared the past few days should be that a lot of people fought like hell to tell our stories—queer stories. Queer people fought like hell behind the scenes on the front lines of a power-struggle we weren't even fully aware of, and the level of gratitude I feel toward those folks is immeasurable.

buck coming into his bisexuality has made me feel so settled in my skin in a way I didn't even realized I still needed. watching his journey so far took me right back to the moment I admitted I was bi to myself a decade ago. and to the first time I used the word bisexual and how freeing that was. grateful to Oliver and the whole team for handling this with such care and grace. and for supporting and validating us at every turn. thank you for reminding me that my bisexuality is enough. that I'm enough as I am <3

This arc of Bucks self-discovery is so amazing and important. You’re expected to know who you are in your 30’s, have your life together. And that not necessarily true, there is so much you can learn about yourself and what you want in life at any age. There is no correct time frame to finding happiness and finding your truth. Oliver Stark and Lou Ferrigno Jr. have taken such care with this arc, making it feel real with some awkward moments and so incredible sweet with those gentle ones. It’s incredible to watch unfold.

Thank you to Tim Minear & the writers for finally allowing Buck to explore his sexuality on the show.
An even bigger thanks to Oliver Stark for not only being comfortable to play the storyline but putting his all into it. The nuance & passion in his performance continues to blow me away.
Lastly to Lou Ferrigno Jr for coming in with his good looks and charm to play Tommy once again, the catalyst in Buck’s awakening.
Everyone is doing such a phenomenal job weaving this story into the usual 911 fare in a realistic & grounded way. I’m excited to see how it develops.

Thank you for the scene where Buck comes out to Maddie. It could’ve been such a heavy, nerve wrecking scene but instead it was light and funny and so perfect for him. You felt how safe Buck felt with Maddie and how much love Maddie has for Buck which I think was just such a beautifully understated way of showcasing their relationship. Buckleys’ for the win indeed!

Thank you for all the representation you have given us. The POC main characters, the queer relationships of main characters and side characters. Thank for recognizing that some people have it figured out and just need to pursue it and others don’t and need exploring. Thank you for not calling us crazy for our interpretations, thank you for not being offended by them. I’m so thankful for how they handled Buck coming out to Eddie, how Eddie didn’t make it about Buck keeping a secret for him or something. He immediately accepted, reassured, encouraged him and it was such a great scene. I also love how gentle and patient Tommy is with a Buck, I really do hope the show sees all the love and keeps him around. Buck is so soft around him and Tommy is so smitten. I think they both deserve a happy, sweet relationship and am excited to see more of them!

I am grateful for this show, and I am grateful for this season of this show—I am having so much fun watching, rewatching, talking with people about it, hearing what the people who make the show happen have to say about it, the care that’s being taken with Buck’s bi arc, the representation that has been there and been important the whole time…I’m probably leaving out half the things I want to say because my mind is so overwhelmed with good things. I love that we get to see how Tommy has grown since the Begins episodes in season 2, and I love that Lou Ferrigno Jr. is just—here for all of it, aware of the fan base, and invested with the same sort of care for his character and the cast as series regulars are. (Can we keep him? Both Lou and Tommy seem like a really good fit!) And the series regulars’ commitment to their characters and storylines and knowing how important the show is to people adds such a good layer to it all. I’m having a blast, and it seems like people who are involved with the show are too, and it’s just really special to watch something that’s been made with care.
