Hockey is a queer artist, and has been out forever – even in a time when it was absolutely not accepted. Look through my David Hockney tag and you’ll see various examples of his art, and  a bit of information about why this is really, really interesting. If Harry wanted a portrait painted, he could’ve asked just about anyone. But he asked an iconic queer artist who’s known for painting portraits of queer domesticity.
