Massive PSA to ALL artists who may be on Twitter, please protect yourself. I just wiped all my art off that shit site, so unfortunately a lot of NSFW art that could be viewed on there will not be available. Some is available on Slasher app, and a bit on Pixiv. I will try to post old lewd art on pixiv and any relevant lewds on Slasher app. I'm really thinking of looking into just getting my own website to display all works uncensored depending on the cost.

48hr tumblr blackout proposal

tumblr mobile has seadily become near unusable these past few updates. not just from a user experience perspective (which is important enough in itself) but also from an accessibility perspective.

examples include the new way the image viewer works (if you can call it "working"), the tumblr live button replacing the profile button, and that newly created blogs will be forced to have their main dashboard tab be the 'for you' page.

the demands of the protest would be along the lines of:

reverse the recent image viewer update

scrap the new users 'for you' page default setting

let us turn off tumblr live indefinitely

increase efforts against spam / porn bots

make reporting abuse and hate speech as easy as reporting as reporting spam

let us go nuts show nuts again... for real this time

commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!

(suggestions welcome!)

to protest against these usability issues, and inspired by the recent reddit blackout, i propose a 48 hour blackout (where you don't use tumblr at all). preferably of both mobile and web (since web has problems too) but mobile is the focus here.

I suggest the 48 hours between the 30th of June to the end of the 1st of July.

this marks the end of pride month (for the "queerest place on the internet") and the start of disability month (since accessibility is a massive issue here).

tumblr office is in San Francisco, USA, so the times and dates will be calculated using their time zone (PDT).

The thing y'all don't seem to understand is that Karla isn't actually all that into Ohma, she's only attracted to his strength because she believes he's the strongest available (I'll concede that she probably also thinks he's aesthetically attractive, but even then, she has an idolization issue because her family is established to push Kures with higher emission rates to marry into the strongest families possible.). Ohma sure as shit isn't into her, and is shown to be annoyed by this sort of fangirl behavior. You're somewhat delusional if you think Raian would react any better, sorry. But I'll try to humor this.

Actual Hcs:

He's not gonna be into some loser who has nothing better in life than to thirst after him.

If she's at all strong, he'll fight her. If she loses and dies, she wasn't worthy anyways, and he'll just be annoyed that she doesn't put up a good enough fight.

If she wins (and therefore lives), he'll briefly experience a character development arc and several existential crisises (crises? crisodes?) before either banging her because Erioh forces him to and then punting off the responsibility of raising the kid to the clan or killing her in a sneak attack and never thinking about it again.

Either way, he's not gonna be in love with her anytime soon, sure as hell not if she's stalking him and talking about babies constantly. If he's particularly merciful and doesn't kill her, he might do something especially petty and punch her to destroy her womb exclusively so he can gloat about how he took her dream away.

Sooooo you want to go out and do something a little more long-lasting than the Women’s March, huh?

Well, welcome, friend! We’re glad to have you along. Here’s hoping you join us for many years to come.

Here are some tips:

-Leave the phone at home.

-Keep your mask ON (Covid makes this more socially acceptable, but here you’re doing it to stop facial recognition software)

-LEAVE THE PHONE AT HOME

-If you MUST keep your phone, turn fingerprint recognition off. Passcode only. Do not liveblog. Do not take videos or photos. Airplane mode on. Encrypt (Settings > Security> Advanced settings > Encryption & credentials > Encrypt phone). guided access on (Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access). Log out of all social media. Source here.

-This is a point I aim mostly at myself and myself alone, but: don’t showboat after the event. It’s not a social media clout thing. It’s an action. You can get clout and adoration later.

-Wearing all black and a ski mask marks you out as one of the ‘dangerous radicals.’ Do not dress like that unless you’re comfortable running from cops and/or getting arrested. Cops will target you. It’s like you’re wearing a ‘kick me’ sign, but the sign prevents other people from getting kicked/focuses the kicker’s attentions on someone who can take it. If you’re going to bloc up, keep a change of clothes in a bag. It doesn’t need to be a complete lewk, just swap a few conspicuous pieces. Find others in bloc. You’ll recognize them because they’re sexy.

-Write the NLG’s number in sharpie on your arm.

-Try not to go alone. Find a pal.

-Keep about $10 on you in cash, for emergencies.

-Don’t carry anything illegal. Read up on weapon laws in your state.

-DON’T TALK TO COPS

-Talk to media if you like, it won’t make a difference. Optics is for people who have power.

-Do not put your faith in politicians. Do not treat them with kindness or respect. At best, treat them with wary watchfulness and contempt.

-Eat like an astronaut. Lots of carbs and protein, no fiber.

-Bring water and comfy shoes.
