Week two
In the first class of this week we started story boarding our ideas and inspiration, we want our idea to be a mixed media collage type of work, and drawing insperation from typographic, pop art style, also taking insperation from modern maori art and also maori myths as we are wanting to encoperate that into our work.
next before the second class we both storyboarded some concepts for our motion graphic and then we met before class and came up with some new ones, my first idea was the concept of people travelling via waka from the south island into wellington and then the other was someone being hit in the face by a poster, when we meet we looked at each others ideas, and we started brainstorming some new ones, we came up with two story boards together, the first one was an earthquake hit wellington and three guardians came and re built wellington and bats, each one having a special power and the other one was a taniwha that was angry at everything,
since the second lecture we decided to steer clear of the taniwha idea as in legend, taniwha are mythical monsters that create storms etc we have since come up with another idea that we are going to go with, image to come

Week one
First lesson we were introduced the brief and then we started learning about warrens work, we also did rough posters based on the story of romeo and juilet. Ive decied to work with pheobe in my class and we have enrolled in the same lab,
in the second class we started looking more in depth at warrens work and came up with our name: gaurdians of aotearoa, this was because the central ideas in warrens work were, nz and looking after it and protecing it, Ie kaitiakitanga and we decided on the three songs we were to focus on, these were: nature of man (intense, overwhelming, opionated, change) home land and sea (drifting, importance, journey, change, natural nz, looking after nz) and te oranga ( circle of life, joirney, growth,)
