Alright, this is a tagging question that's been confusing me the past while. So, THIS is in the rules regarding character tagging:

''Character modifiers, traits, and genders do not go in here. ''

as well as

"The canonical tag for original characters is “Original Character”. Do not tag the name of your original character."

But lately, I keep reporting prompts that have mistagged their OCs and this never gets corrected? I'll see prompts I reported still have the mistags bumped over and over again. For example, I've been seeing plenty of prompts that are tagged thus: "No Fandom, Waiter, Customer, Boss, Manager, (Gender tag)"

"No Fandom, Princess, Knight, Evil Witch, Queen, (Gender tag)"

"No Fandom, Catboy, Twink, Bottom, Long Hair, (Gender tag)"

so on and so forth. These are OCs (if not fleshed out OCs), but in place of the 'Original Character' tag is a bunch of traits, which as far as I knew, were against the rules?

Basically I'm asking if the rule changed when I wasn't looking or if this is actually totally in line with the rules and I missed something because I keep reporting these prompts for not tagging 'Original Character' but nothing ever seems to happen to the prompts themselves.

seeing a canonically NB character (formerly canonically a dude, formerly masculine looking) being included in a "GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS THESE ARE GIRLS AND THEY ARE BANGING EACH OTHER, GIRLS AND WOMEN" and wanting 2 die lol. weirdly they do have Non-Binary tagged but they make it clear in the post they see this character as a woman and it's like oh fuck off

for april fools mods shouldve allowed only prompts that break the rules and whoever had the most rule breaking prompt wins

this IS so specific but i am also in this fandom so i understand... that said, I think it IS because Yu does have multiple names through various incarnations (notably Souji Seta, which did used to be more common in fandom before Yu became set in stone, and one instance of Hayato Asakawa... huh) so I do think that's why they just go with a flat Protag tag as they do with all* nameable protags

I thought for a sec to just have all variations of those names go to Yu Narukami, but other than being a wrangling nightmare, there might also be other characters with those same names (Souji Seta, Hayato Asakawa).

This isn't like, an argument against you, I'm just trying to look at the logic at play here lol.

*notably, I just noticed this rule doesn't apply to the My Units/Avatars in FE? Maybe because they have just one default name they go by? Hmm.

the rule is to default to whatever the wiki says is it's a character with a player-chosen name... but Yu Narukami is literally the Canon Name for him... every official continuation of p4's story that names him defaults to yu...

'I'll be playing this character as a sub-leaning switch!' you're going to RP that character as pure sub and you know it.

saw a prompt refer to a trans guy's body as 'the opposite sex' of a cis guy's body and i am begging cherp to stop being weird about trans guys for two seconds LOL

theres a special place in hell for people who not only ghost you, but bump the prompt WHILE actively ghosting you

Huh! The more you know. I knew about the 'first tag becomes The tag for that character' (hence why some tags are all lowercase or all uppercase lol), but not the other stuff.

Here's a question about tagging: So for a certain prompt, I went to tag two characters FULL names, but then the tags automatically changed to JUST their first names. One character has a fairly common first name, so I thought this was extremely odd.

I also noticed these two are not the only characters from this franchise (or specifically this game in the franchise) to have this happen to them. However, I noticed OTHER characters in this franchise (and specifically, this game) got to have their full names.

Is it supposed to be this way or is something wildly wrong with the tag wrangling? If so, how do I alert mods that, "hey I think something is broken with the tag wrangling"?

Is it just me or do cherp users hate longform RP nowadays? Used to be people loved long responses but people keep DCing over me giving longform responses. It's the only thing I can think of. And yeah it's starting to piss me off a little to waste so much time writing for them to DC. I think I'll do a three paragraph limit on all my responses from now on fuck ittttt

Not to sound like an old man but i feel like nowadays nobody on cherp wants to ever like, hash stuff out, they just automatically DC on the first message. You can be like, 'hi I wanna do this character for you, here's a list of scenarios and scenes, and some optional things' and just get auto-DC'd. I feel like this didn't used to happen to me as often but now I feel like it's every other RP? Has this always been a thing or did cherp culture change when I wasn't looking LOL

as ever people who use their OOC to complain about a work/creator like 'UGH the writing was SO fucking stupid' or 'the creator SUCKS because they killed my FAVE and are a SON OF A BITCH' are soooo fucking annoying I'm here to play virtual barbies not listen to twitter-level takes lol

As many of you are likely aware, my housing situation hasn't been very stable. I've moved (temporarily) to a place out in the woods with my mother after my lease ended a couple months ago. The plan was to spend a while here, save up our money, and get ourselves a place somewhere in the Greater Toronto Area.

It turns out this might have been a mistake. Our food gets stolen. Our landlord causes arguments, constantly finds reasons to complain, and it often times leads to shouting and threats of eviction if she doesn't get her way.

We're close to securing a place for ourselves before it can come to that, but we need some financial help to get there. First and Last month's rent payment for a new place is out of our reach, and we also need to buy furniture, dishes, utensils, and various other necessities once we do move.

Do note, however, that my situation does not jeopardize the beta in any way. It's not hosted on my hardware, and will continue to run regardless so long as the server bill is payed. The only impact it may have is in the frequency of updates.

I know something something anonymity but like, I really do keep having a problem with connecting to or being connecting to by people who I have had bad RP experiences with before (we just didn't gel, they DC'd without warning, etc etc) MULTIPLE TIMES! and after a point I'd like to just remove them from my potential RP partner pool (and vice versa) instead of having to go 'ok yeah based on text color/writing style/desired RP this is 99% the person who I had that bad time with'
