so this may be me voicing to the void, since i don't really visit the more social discussion places, but Lady I is using information she gets in the khert to plan things out right, or am i misinterpretting her hoarding of memories? and if so... is it possible, due to non-linear method of things in there, for Sette to destroy a memory that, if the bird had access too, would change the course of her plans, but due to it's absense "earlier / later" she's in the dark?
Yes. And yes, you got the correct interpretation. Lady Ilganyag has scavenged memories in order to deduce the future and massage it towards certain ends she wants.
But she doesn't have complete pictures. The khert is a chaos of scattered lives. She's found pieces, but she's also missing huge chunks, and even huge people from the narrative.
One important thing to note is that Sette can't destroy memories. She can rip them out of herself or others, shred them smaller, move 'em around like a cat batting moths, but she can't destroy them. Only Ruck's venom can break down memories.
